Chapter Five.
Teachers or Angels?

I felt very accomplished as I went to school the next day because I actually got a smile from her as I sat next to her for history class.

I didn’t pay much attention to the class itself because what age we were learning about I had lived in.The resistance area .
Mr.Pratt looked at me with a hurt face and said in my mind,
"I helped you get the girl the lest you can do is show some respect in my class and listen even if you think it is boring".

I smiled "sorry"! I said back to him "I will pay attention to your class". "But you know I will probably get the best grades.

"Pride cometh before a fall"! He snickered and smiled widely in front of the class "we shall see shall we not".

I turned him off in my mind he was a bite annoying for a history teacher I wondered if he was real as in was he ever human!

"No way came the voice in my head I am her guardian Angel remember this is just a disguise".

"Tune into your class" I said "people are looking your way"!
"Were you always this cocky when you were alive!? He grumbled.
I smiled "You chose me for the job"!

He hurufped and turned off his mind.

I smiled and looked at her out of the corner of my eye she was also looking my way and blushed and turned back to her book when she saw I was watching her to.

After history class we moved on to English the English teacher Mrs.Andress was a very pretty young woman still in her early 20s and looked like she came from the 1920s!Even her dress was old fashioned. But she was very sweet and liked me and Elena as her best students. I never thought of her as more then just a teacher but today something was different her usual bright alert brown eyes were a bit unfocused and hazy as if she was in a dream but she seemed otherwise fine!
Suddenly in the middle of the class I saw in my mind pictures and images of wolves coming into this little town and Elena being fascinated by one of them running off with them to the big city where big cats and crows lived then all went blank!
I pinpointed the mind Mrs. Andress ! How did she do that was she an angel to ?
"No" came the voice of Mr. Pratt "she is a phyastrist from the 1920s and lived this long because of her powers that is why she still looks so young" .
"What you saw was a vision! She can only project images of what she sees and is unable to speak during the time that is why no one has ever figured it out before no one has been able to be her projector until you came"!
"But what I saw"? "It is all symbolic of what will happen".
"Something is going to happen to Elena I said we have to do something"!
"We will do what we can but remember the ultimate choice is up to her" .
"We cannot force her to do anything". "But don’t worry about it and don’t give away anything it her because then everything will go out of place you don’t want that do you"?

"No". "Good now go the next class is going to start". Next class was math.
Now the math teacher who everyone called Mr.E was really a strange fellow he could have passed for an insect! He was an old fellow maybe 60 with pure white hair most of the hair on top was gone with big glasses and a extremely small face and big ears! So that he looked like some sort of insect.

So I wasn’t surprised when he also mind spoke to me and told me he was Elena's personal math teacher since she needed one so badly. "Man" I thought "is the whole school going to surrounded in Angels"! "Maybe". said the little old man in my head why don’t you count them as you go out.

Next class was science.This teacher was a woman who was dressed like a laboratory scientist all in white with the goggles and everything!
She also spoke to my mind Elenas Angel of course her angel of creativity. "Cool"!
I thought "what next?
Geography!
This Man a tall skinny man dressed in army camouflage and looked like a ranger and spoke with an Australian accent he was the Angel but this surprised me more to find out it was really an Animal it was her wild cat! When I asked what he was really for he smiled and said "I help fight of the demons and hold the keys for her but she needs to get back into the right mode or I cannot help her".

Biology was next this teacher a woman! Very pretty with long blond hair and blue eyes but also dressed like a doctor. Turned out to be Her Angel of heart, soul, and concese. I had no need to ask what she did she was Elenas consense.

P.e which I did not take but I was curious to know if there was an Angel there.
So I went to the gym and looked inside.
There was the gym teacher I was surprised to see it was a woman.
She had long golden tresses done in a gold net and blue eyes she was fit and lean and muscular she looked at me and I didn’t know why but she reminded me a bite of a horse!

Something laughed in my mind "that’s because my name is Uma and I am a horse".
"I am Elena s Elera"! "Every person has it even you". "It is your spirit of freedom its what makes you happy and free". "You say I have one to"?" What’s his name"?
"Almore he and I well we are sort off together".
"Well that’s great"! "How ironic". I thought to myself. "Can I see him"?
"Well he is right next to you"." You just cant see him"!
"Oh right the thing where you cant see your own angel"!
"Yes but in your case you are different because technically you are not alive"!
"You will see him outside he is the assistant couch he is by the black car next to yours". I went outside with Elena and we both let out a whistle! There making my red sports car look horrible plain was a shinny black convertible. And standing next to it was a tall man he dressed in an old fashioned tux and black hat with the shoes to go! Looks a bite like me. I thought same height probably from Britain to !
He looked up his hair was Ravine black so where his eyes he looked North American! "So not British". I thought but he was dark and handsome."Look at all those eyes on him the boys on the car the girls on the driver"!
He smiled showing a set of strong white teeth and looked at me in my mind he said
"I love this attention don’t you"?" Espeassally the girls". "Almore"! I said "you can’t be to free in this day and age your bound to get yourself into trouble".
"Hey" he said "I am your spirit of freedom who is telling who what to do"?
"But you’re probably right". "But it is so hard to do you know I am not used to be tied down I am free after all" ! "Yes but you need to moderate your freedom or these girls will get the wrong idea we don’t live in the hippie days or in the days when free love was legal or acceptable it a new day and age"! "Besides you have a girl friend don’t you"?
Something sparkled in his eye and he smiled "yes I do thank you for reminding me I had better go and see if she need some me time".

And going through the crowd of girls he made his way to the gym.

"Wow"! I thought once things had calmed down a bite "that was more unreal then I had ever thought".

I mean being me and all I should be prepared for the unusual but I was never prepared to live in a town full of Angels and me being a vampire turned Guardian!
I feel so out of place.

"Hey said Elena he was pretty cool don’t you think"?
"Huh oh yeah I liked his car"!
"No silly I mean he himself was cool"!
I looked at her doubtfully.
"Oh don’t worry I still like you better" .
I smiled "cool" she said "it was a fun day but can you drive me to the bakery?
I have to work there today"!
"Sure"! I said starting my car "get in and ill take you"!

She got in and we were soon on our way to the bakery.

Chapter Four
I made a day of it.

It was hard for me to watch Elena s dreams that night she did once again dream of me and in every dream she was holding my hand .I felt that she did want to but had no courage.Then the dream shifted back to the gray streets and gunfire and her screaming.

I did everything I could after that to make her thoughts pleasant.
"She did sleep well" I thought as I waited for the right moment to knock at her door.

I hoped with all my hear that her uncle would not come to the door I really didn’t like talking to Adults they made me feel nervous. Maybe because in years they were just as old as me or I was older! I don’t know only that I really hopped she would come to the door and not her uncle.

It was about 10:00 in the morning it was a good enough time I thought jumping down from the roof onto the grass and taking a deep breath I rang the bell.

Maybe it was luck or something else but she opened the door and looked a bit surprised she was in the process of tying her hair up and her uncle was doing something in the kitchen. "Oh hi"! Then she said in a small voice "what are you doing here"? "I told you he wasn’t ready to meet you yet"."No I am not hear to talk to your uncle I just wanted to know if you wanted to go out with me today I can show you where I live and we can make a day of it".

She looked back at her uncle in the kitchen and then back at me and sighed ,
"just a moment" and left the door I heard what was supposed to be a whisper with my excellent hearing She was telling her uncle that she did want to spend the day with him but that there was this new kid at school who wanted to spend time with her and it was her opportunity to make a friend something he had always wanted.

He agreed that it was the case and they could always save the trip to the lake for some other time she gave him a kiss grabbed a bag from the counter which I could see contained a sandwich and taking her coat from the rack and putting her sneakers on she made her way outside I smiled she seemed eager to come with me. "The Angel was right"! I thought to myself "she dose sort of like me".

"So" she said" where are we going"? " Why don’t I take you to my house?
I have explored my area already and know some spots we can go if you want"?
"Sure I want to" !"OK then come it’s this way"! And this time not knowing what
I did for I am usually very consensus about these things I took her hand in mine and led the way she made no effort to take her hand out of mine all she said was "wow your hands are cold"!
"Yes remember I don’t get out into the sun much so I am sort of cold blooded" .

She smiled at what she thought was a joke I only winced at the thought but tried to think no more on the subject and just enjoy her company.

I had to let her hand go from time to time she told me it was cold I could feel her shivering so I let it go reluctantly. Also I had to watch my gripe on her hand for I myself didn’t know my own strength and could have easily crushed it.

But we made it to the place where my car was kept and I got in and she sat next to me then taking the longer road I made my way to a small house hidden deep in the woods which I had fixed up just in case people asked where I lived.
I parked the car and got out and helped her out then telling her to wait.
I went into the house and got something from a box.
I wont go into the details of what I got because I don’t like to think about it but I came out again refreshed and in a change of clothes and boots.

Then we set off together to the edge where had first met Mr. Pratt!
The way to the ledge would take a few hours by foot it was a hiking trail.
I made sure that I took water along. But for me I took a canteen for my own use and scented it so it smelled like tea so she could not smell what was really in it and gave her the same one but with real tea in it. Then I gave her a bottle of water to carry. And food, well I took a sandwich along but I knew I would not digest it and
I would have to find the right moment to get it out. But I wont get into all those disgusting details .

The hike was fun although I had to continually remind myself that she had to rest every two hours or so unlike me. So we made it to the top around 4:00. We started at 1:00 and took 2 hours up braked and went on for another two hours and made it at 4.00.

We sat on a stone and watched the clouds go by and just rested.

She was soon asleep on my shoulder I took her into the small cave and took the opportunity to get ride or my sandwich and drink. Then I sat by her and thought and meditated on the day I had learned something more about this girl she tried to hide her emotions away until the last moment but sometimes if pressured she would snap and let it all out but if left alone she could hide them for the longest time deep in her heart. Like today her happy emotions burst out and she was overly excited. And climbing up I had to ask her like four times when I noticed she was tired or her to admit that she was I could see in her mind the first time I asked that question she was tired but she didn’t want to show it, the second time she was the same, the third time she was thinking he will think I am week if I say so, and the fourth time I could tell she was about to cry if I pushed anymore so I let it be until she said it herself "I have a need for a water break".
Also it was hard for her to make decisions with a simple yes or no she was quit for a long time when I asked if she wanted to stop to eat and in the end she asked "what do you want to do"? !I am fine with anything".

"She dose not have much confidence in herself that is something I need to work on with her as well"! I thought as I stroked her brown hair and smiled at this sweet shy girl who had stolen my heart. She slept for half and hour it was getting late so I shook her gently and said "Elena we have to start back if we are going to get back by night fall"!
She quickly sat up "huh"! "What time is it"? "4; 30 you have been sleeping for half an hour" ."Why didn’t you wake me"? She said not angry but a bite panicked
"I promised him I wouldn’t be home to late". "Don’t worry" I said "going back down is always faster then up we can get down it 2 and a half hours if we go quickly".
"OK let’s do that" she said standing up and slinging on her back pack.
"I see you ate your lunch already"! she said "I will eat mine on the way down".

We were both soon on our way down the mountain and like I estimated we made it down in less time then we started. Then we walked back to the place where my car was parked and we got in and I drove her home it wasn’t to late.
By car we went faster so she got back at a reasonable time.
I walked her to her door She didn’t object this time and I said goodnight as she closed the door behind her.
Her mind was tired but happy!

And I felt like I had accomplished much more then trust.

Chapter 3

Chapter Three.
The beginning of a most difficult job!

In my hideout in the woods I watched her in my mind.
It was like watching a movie play out in front of me and I was sort of like the director. Now I will leave out the beginning where she wakes up and dose her girl stuff then she goes out of her house with a "goodbye uncle", and sets off for school. I got a clear view of the road so on the way I gave her a nudge in her mind "it would be a good idea not to have both ears in headphones". That kept her from not hearing the honk of the horn of a car. I kept the traffic down for her so she could get to school on time and other small things with out interfering to much then I watched as she went into the school and walked up the hall.

Rachel and her buddies were in the hall they looked angry !
I went into there mind to see if they were going to get violent.

No they might yell at her asking if she was the cause for my absence and other such nonsense but these girls were not the fighting type.

I wasn’t supposed to interfere with other peoples anger so I let it be.
Of course when they saw her they yelled and screamed!
I felt her disappointment at knowing that I was absent and her flinching at there harsh words as she was trying not to cry and trying to find the best getaway.
I helped with that. I gave her an idea for a smart remark that would leave the girls speechless long enough for her to get away.She took my hint and said the word it worked they went quit thinking for a few moments.
She took the chance and quickly left the hall and went into the class room.

Studying her mind I could tell she was hurt at my not being here and she felt betrayed by her own imagination and was trying hard not to cry !

I felt really bad. "I should have done something about the weather" I thought
"she doesn’t like rain so I could make it for most of the time overcast and keep to the shadows its to late to get to school now but I will do better tomorrow".

Suddenly I heard another voice in my head "you had better have a good explanation ready for her she doesn’t trust people very well because she gets teased and made a joke of to much she might feel you are doing the same to her so be prepared for her anger tomorrow"! "Huh where did that come from"?

The mind was somewhere in the class room.
I went through them all until I came to our history teacher Mr.Pratt.

He was a middle aged man with blond hair and sparkling blue eyes !
Going gray in some spots, A thin frail face but a mischievous smile .
His hair which he always had in a ponytail was almost totally white
He wore strange cloths.Boots of real black leather up to his knees and a tunic with a lace frill with gray leggings. He looked like he stepped out of some sort of comic boot or came from way before my time and that's saying something !

"Who are you"? I said with a weary voice.
He winked right at me and said "I think you know".
I suddenly recognized the voice it was her Guardian angel!
" What are you doing here"?
"I am Mr. Pratt always have been it’s the best way to keep an eye on her".
"But see she is a young girl and needs someone who was human once or is and understands her and is her own age who can relate to her".
"That is why we chose you".
So you had better think of something to say to her that will explain yourself".

I sat in the same position for the longest time then said "Ill tell her I was sick and had to stay back". "Lame son but you could try". "You have a better one"?
"Yes tell her you have very sensitive skin and the doctors have told you to stay out of the sun so you have to stay in the shad or stay home on sunny days".

I though for a few moments "well that would be telling almost the truth".
"Yes you see we angels don’t lie no matter what".
I smiled "OK I see! "Well ill try that approach on her and see how things go".

He winked at me again and the image faded out until only her consense was visible.
I continued to watch her feeling more and more terrible as she stared out of the window with a hurt face.

After school I watched her go into the forest her school books under her arm as she went into a quite meadow with a single tree in the center.
She sat under the tree and thought about the day.

Why was she so affected about that boy who she had only just met she shouldn’t be so affected this way it was so strange."I shouldn’t be so affected by a boy who sat with me only once I am just being silly".

"Hi"! I said coming toward her. She looked up from her daydream with a start.
"Oh sorry! "I didn’t know you came this way to".

"No no"! "Its fine" she smiled "I just didn’t expect anyone to come this way because I am the only one who likes to climb up into this part o the forest".

"Well like I said I like to go on treks in the forest as well".
"I thought you were sick"! She couldn’t hide the bitterness in her voice at this.
He frowned "no now who told you that"? "Well that’s usually the reason".
"Did the teachers tell you nothing"? "No all they said was that you were taking this day off no explanation". "Well thanks a lot". I said to the Guardian angel Mr. Pratt I still didn’t know his real name. Then I looked at her and said "that’s not the reason I am just very allergic to the sun that is why I did not come to school today and am now standing hear in the shade" ."Oh I see". Elena voice softened a bit "that is understandable". "Ill come over there then we can walk together in the forest if you want to". "That would be nice I would like to have company", I said she smiled shyly and got up and walked toward the place I was standing. "Well you probably know the area better then I do so why don’t you show me around"?

She nodded and started down the trail I followed her trying to think of something that would make her talk. "So you lived her for a long time"? "Since school started I live with my uncle". "Do you like the neighborhood"? "I like it well enough I get lots of time alone". "You like being alone"? "Sure no one really wants to try to talk to me anyway in fact you are the first person in a long time to talk to me I think you made a lot of people surprised." I smiled "did I surprise you"?
"Oh most defiantly I wasn’t expecting you to come up to me at all much less to want to sit with me". "You’d be surprised at how much different I am from the others".
I said with a smile. She was silent for some time after this I raked my brain thinking of something to say it wasn’t good! Being a quite person myself I didn’t know how to carry on a long conversation finally I asked "so where are we going"?
"Oh I am taking you to one of my favorite places".She said looking up at me "it is where I go when I want to just get quit and think". "Sounds good to me".
I said and followed her I kept looking at her she kept looking a if she wanted to reach out and hold my hand but was to shy I went through her mind to see what would she do if I took the first step and took her hand. I could see that she wanted it but she was afraid and expecting me to pull away if she tried. I would have to go slowly with her in order to gain her full friendship and trust I was already falling in love with this shy girl who was so cut and awkward around others. I could see the wisdom in the angel making me her guardian he probably knew I would fall for her and thus make a perfect guardian. "Yes" said a voice in my head "but don’t let love make you interfere with her life completely". I didn’t quite understand what the voice had just said but I stored it away for later pondering. "Hear we are"!
Said Elena with a smile standing in a wooded spot full of trees and well shaded there was a large oak and a ladder going up its trunk. "There is my secrete spot you are the only one besides uncle who knows about this spot because he helped me build it" .
"It nice"! I said looking at the house and smiling "so I am the only other ehe
I wonder what that means"? "You shouldn’t pry into her mind about that".
Said the voice "what if you are disappointed let her say so if she feels it" .
"Ok I will leave that part of her mind untouched although I really would like to know". "You should let her say so it is her choice and if you know then you might say something to give yourself away". "That’s true". I thought"I might say something suspicious if I knew the truth might as well just enjoy my ignorance while it lasts". "So do you want to go up and see inside"? She asked in a small voice. "Sure why not". I said with a smile "it looks sturdy enough". "Oh don’t worry it is come on up then". "After you" I said she smiled and started climbing the ladder. I watched her go up then climbed up myself it was a very homey little tree house decorated just so with a bench and a table and other small nick knacks.
It reminded me suddenly of my boyhood when my father and I used to go into the woods together and we would make big tree houses. I had always been very close with father and when he died the estate would have been mine but then the tragedy struck!
I was 20 and the property was to go to me but then well I didn’t really like to think about that day. I didn’t remember much of it anyway so after that I roamed around the city of London hiding from everyone. Afraid of what I might do to people if I made contact with them. But contact with them was unavoidable and soon I was in the slums where there was filth and disease and I soon found a way to feed and at the same time not feel to bad about how I fed myself.
My silent pondering was broken by Elena.
"Edward"? "Huh"? I said she laughed "you were thinking about something and got lost in your train of thought". I smiled "yes I was thinking that this tree house reminded me a lot of what me and my father used to do together we used to build tree houses together" ."That’s nice" said Elena "it must be nice to be able to grow up knowing your father". She said it in a longing voice and I knew right away I had not been sensitive to her feelings. I went up to her and stood by her as she looked out the window and said "I am sorry about your parents I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings". I was really close now almost touching her.
She noticed and stepped back a couple of inches as she said "no its fine you didn’t hurt me".
"I think we should get back home it is getting late and I need to be home by dinner."

"Ok"! I said as she started down the ladder I watched her climb down feeling that this would take a very long time to help her break out of this shell.
The first day was soon to be over and I hardly got her to speak .
Well I wasn’t that talkative myself that was the problem I needed to find more thing to talk about that would make a long conversation.
We walked home in silence it was starting to get dark and the moon shone into the forest! We were soon out and walking down a dirt road.
She turned to me and said "well here is where we say goodbye".
"It was nice to talk to you". "Can I walk you to your door"?
I asked she looked at me reddening as she said "you are really fast you know
I hardly know you and I don’t think uncle will approve ether of a guy I hardly know" .And with that without looking back she ran to her house.
I sighed "great first day" I thought "all I did in the end was end up making her more embarrassed of me". "You did as well as you could".Said the voice in my head "remember what I said these kind of things take time". "You cant expect her to warm up to you on the very first day putting into consideration she hardly talks to anyone and especially not to boys". "So she is actually more embarrassed of herself because she really doesn’t know what to do or how to behave in front of her opposite sex because she never did before". "Great so what am I supposed to do"? "Just continue to act friendly with her and try to make her comfortable and she will soon see you are not that hard to get along with and she will calm down and warm up to you"."But like I said you need patience with shy people you of all people should know that" .I smiled "yes I was a very shy boy myself". "I understand I need patience for this girl".

"Good I am glad you understand" said the voice "tomorrow is no school".
"Go to her home and ask her out but do it in a way that she can have time to think". Then take her into your part of the woods and just be quite let her be the first to speak believe me it works much better that way".

"Hey"! I said to the voice as it faded away "If your so good at all this why don’t you go to her yourself"? "You forget I am her real guardian Angel and that makes me invisible to her so I need you".
"Anyway she dose like you I could see it in her eyes".

"Thanks that helps a lot" I sighed as jumped up to her window ledge and watched her get ready for another night of sleep.

Chapter 2

Chapter two
A strange predicament.

Edward drove off into the woods anxious to get away from all the noise.
He parked his car by a small pound next to a stream.
His car shone and turned into a Red boat.
He got into it and started rowing downstream until he came to a waterfall then the boat and he went over the falls!
He came up out of the water as a golden eagle with sharp green eyes .
He flew above the water fall and landed on a cliff.

He watched the small village and thought about the day he had just gone through and about the girl that was so alone.He felt something for that girl because he to knew what it was like to be alone .

And there was something else he didn’t quite understand but there was something.
In all his years of not being able to sense or feel emotion there was something and it bothered him. But he hardly had time to think about it when suddenly there in front of him shone a white light! He changed back into human form and backed into the shadows. The light started fading and in its place was the form of a man floating in the air and with two large wings on his back! Edward remained in the shadows afraid! For the first time in his many years of life he knew what was before him and felt the fear.

Then the angel spoke and said "come out of the shadows Edward I have something I must speak to you of".
Edward crept out and stood on the edge of the cliff .

The Angel said "you do not need to be afraid I have come only as a friend to help you"? "Help me"? "How can you help me"? "I belong to hell"!

"Yes"! Said the Angel "and I to heaven"! "A force much more powerful then hell".
"You were born to a good Christian family Edward but your whole family led you astray and you became venerable to spirits and evil they were attracted to you and led you to this fate."We can help you though but first you must help us".

"Help you? How can I help you"?

"By helping me complete a mission.There is one thing you must know about me".
"I am Elena's Guardian Angel"!

"Oh really"! Now Edward felt embarrassed as well as scared was he coming to tell him to stay away from her because he was to attracted to her.

Edward now had a good view of the Angel and he took in this being who said he was her Angel.

He was tall strongly built and dressed in white robes with a rope cord around his waist his hair was blond and tied into a ponytail and he wore white sandals he had a very mischievous face and smile but a very sanguine and soft voice and very large wings on his back

The Angel smiled as if reading his thoughts and said "I see you are admiring my feature now is not the time I have an important mission to discuss with you".

"I have been working on her ever since she started going to school she has always been extremely shy and afraid of meeting new people".

"I noticed that when I spoke to her"!

"Anyway I have been trying to find a person who can be a friend to her and help her break out of her shy shell. "I spoke to the lord about it and he told me that he would send some one along the way who would help and he would also be wanting help". "For a long time I waited. "Then when you came to this town and wanted right away to talk to her and I saw she was attracted to you and believe me she doesn’t get attracted to boys very often and that she actually spoke to you because she hardly speaks to anyone except her uncle.That was my que" .

"But", said Edward "what is it you will be able to help me with if I do help"?
"What exactly am I supposed to do"?

"Be the friend to her that she never had and help her see things and help her get out of her shell". "The Lord hasn’t told me everything but he said it will benefit you both and he has something special planed for you both" .

"Oh one more thing she needs lots of protection because she is a loner and very shy so I am making you for the time being her Guardian you will have all my powers and know when something bad is about to happen and try to help her make the right choices in life if you do all this you will be released and set free if you so wish or we can grant you something else but a reward will be given".
Then in the blink of an eye he was gone!

I sat there for the longest time not able to comprehend what had just happened.
Why this after all these years of what could be called living was I chosen suddenly to become a Angel to this girl I had just met. I remember something I was told as a child the lord works in mysterious ways!
Well this truly was mysterious but I felt honored to be chosen because secretly I did sort of feel an attraction to this girl not the kind I usually did for humans but something deeper. But it was so slight I felt it might go away after a time so I thought no more on the subject.

But to think I would be set free! No more time going by and myself never being able to die, no more torture, no more hunger for blood, I would be set free! I could not imagine a greater reward at the moment so I decided it didn’t matter what God had up his sleeve I would take on the task and get my reward and the best thing was I could do it with a whole heart because I did feel sorry for this lonely shy girl .

As soon as she entered my thoughts something nudged at the front of my consence.
I saw her she was getting ready for bed in her house.
As soon as I thought of her I was suddenly there on the outside of her window watching her ."Well I thought this Angel power can tell port me to her how convenient all I need to do is think of her and I can be where she is".
I watched her undress and get in her bed deciding to give her privacy I shut her out of my mind but she was always there a little light at the end of my thoughts!

When I was sure she was asleep I turned her back into my thought and almost stumbled back at what was before my eyes.

She was awake no she was asleep. But in my mind I saw her in a forested area walking alone. Then I was there before her smiling she smiled in her sleep as she took my hand and we both walked off together into the sunset.

I smiled she was already dreaming of me I could hardy keep from laughing.

Suddenly the dream changed to a Gray city street! She was there along with two other older people who I took for her parents. I didn’t know how but I knew it was a night mare I tried to shut it off for her but it didn’t work!

"She didn’t ask"! Said a voice behind me I turned there was her Angel.

"She doesn’t have good protection.That is also one of your jobs get her back into her habit of praying against night mares"!

I continued to watch the dream. Suddenly the house was attacked by masked men with guns! There was gunfire and blood and screaming! She shot up in her bed screaming and crying. I felt the urge to comfort her. This time I could I put soothing thoughts into her mind to help her sleep then turned to ask the angel why I could do that but he was gone. I could feel her crying out for help in her mind and felt that was the reason why I could now help her! All she had to do was ask.
I watched her for the rest of the night monitoring her dreams.
They had no more meaning of importance and she slept without waking up until morning.

The sun was coming out today I could not go to school.
I would have to call in sick and quickly left back into the woods to hide from the sunlight as daylight came out.

Angels in the neighborhood!
Prologue.
A noise shrill and harsh made Elena sit up with a start it was pitch dark outside but something had woken her these past few nights there was something that continued to wake the same hour every night!.........

Chapter one.
Stranger!

Living with her uncle in a small village Elena was never a very social girl at 18 she was almost done with her school and was working part time at a small bakery She was a small girl of short stature and small and plump not a very popular figure at school with brownish blackish hair to her shoulders and brown eyes and enjoyed the loner sports such as walks and hikes in the mountains, As an only child with both parents dead she lived alone with her uncle who was a police officer. He usually let her alone and she did as she pleased until one day something changed in her life that would never go back to the way it was before.

It all started one ordinary Day it was August and she walked a block from home to get to her school her 18th birthday was coming up in a few days and of course the only thing she ever got from the people at school was a short Happy birthday and nothing more she didn’t care she wasn’t much for parties and preferred taking a walk or listening to something on her Mp three player that is why whenever it rained she was in a grouchy mood today it was overcast and windy and she ran most of the way to get to the schoolhouse. Once there she noticed something in the parking lot there was a Red sports car the kind that you can only find in the big city or in catalogs it was a car every boy in the neighborhood had been wishing for and now one of them had got it she didn’t really think to much on it though she wasn’t much of a car person but she did think the red color was extremely pretty.
Into the school house she went and noticed something else there was a long line of students mostly girls lining up or pushing in front of the principles office she asked the first girl she saw what was going on and she answered it’s a new boy at school I only caught a glimpse of him but Rachel says he is extremely cute we want to be the first to introduce ourselves to him when he come out!

Ahh Elena shook her head new boys everyone listens to Rachel the most popular girl in school this boy must be quite a looker to make Rachel dump Fred who is on the Football team and is pretty cut with those baby blue eyes and baby blond hair I wonder what this boy looks like? Not that I care a speck he probably wont even pay that much attention to me and that must be his car huh a rich kid defiantly not my type. With that thought she made her way to the classroom and sat down.

Soon the other girls crowed in Rachel a tanned blond cheerleader and her two brunet buddies came in dressed in there tailor made uniforms and took there places at the front Fred a big lean muscled boy with baby blue eye and short blond hair who was the football captain came in. Elena noticed that he was a bite down in spirits and although she did not know him well she felt sorry for him knowing that Rachel had probably dumped him on seeing the new face. Now she was more curious then ever to see this new boy. She sat at the very back with an empty seat next to her.
Once everyone was seated the door opened again and everyone turned to see the new face!

Elena turned to she was the closest and she stared! There coming toward her was the most handsome face she had ever seen he was tall "even a bit taller than Fred"!
She thought. With a strong lean muscled body. His features where smooth, a very strong jaw a straight noise and a smooth forehead he looked clean-shaven but you could tell in his features that he was older he had the most beautiful eyes of Green that tilted upward like a cats and his hair which was all dark brown waves came down to his neck in small waves.

She tried to concentrate on her work as he walked up to the front of the classroom it seemed every girls eye was on him. He was dressed in a school uniform that did not look American. More like British! Hum Elena had always wanted to go to Britten and meet a British boy. She had a thing for boys from Britten. She watched with the rest of the class as he went up to the teachers desk and the teacher asked him to introduce himself. "Edward Darcy" he said in a soft voice almost like music "I am 18 and a foreign exchange student from Britten"!
All the girls in the room let out sighs the boys scowls.

"Thank you young Man". said Mr.Pratt the history teacher "Now where shall we seat you"? All the girls started shoving the boy next to her! Mr.Pratt smiled and said
" why don’t you go to the back I see an empty desk next to that girl there".
All the girls let out disappointed groins as Edward made his way to the back and sat down next to Elena who was blushing crimson her heart was in flutters and she couldn’t look up but continued to stare at her page and tried hard to concentrate on her school it wasn’t easy she had never had anyone sit next to her before much less a boy !She knew she was just being silly "I mean" she argued with herself "what interest could this boy who is everything handsome and gorgeous want anything to do with me the ugly loner or the school I am sure if he had a choice to pick seats he would have chosen Rachel". With these discouraging thought to distract her she finished her school work without distractions and hurriedly left the room.

At lunch time she took her usual spot by the window and sat down to her quite lunch. Rachel and her buddies came in and sat around the largest table with a bunch of kids flocking about that table. "Like always" she thought.
Fred was still by that table but he looked more unhappy than ever.
"Why does he stay"? She thought "he should leave and go join his jock buddies I am sure he would be much more happy if he did"! Then she saw him come in.
The cafeteria went silent as they watched him take a few thing s from the counter.
All eyes followed him as he made his way to Elenas table !
She looked up with big shocked eyes as he said "mind if I sit hear everywhere else is full"! "Uhh sure sit if you want to". Said Elena not sure what she was to do.
He sat down across from her and smiled she blushed and looked at everyone else who stared at them.Then she said "you know I am not the most popular person to be around in fact I am the lowest in the school if you want to be teased or looked down on I am the person to come to you would do much better if you hug around Rachel and her friends".He turned to look at all the opened mouths and smiled "no I like to be with you there is just something about those other kids. They are to immature for me and Rachel and her friends are two stuck up for my liking.
Plus she dumped her boyfriend and I don’t like those kind of bully girls.
I prefer quit sensitive girls like you seem to be". "Wow you get around fast"!Said Elena.

"I like to get to know my headquarters before I live in them".
He said with a sly smile.

The bell rang and everyone got up to leave "will you be doing gym class"?
Elena asked "no I am not much for indoor sports I like outdoor stuff better".
"Really"! Said Elena "so do I" ! "Maybe we could join sometime". He said .
"That would be nice" she said "why don’t you give me your number and I can call you"?

He smiled and got out paper and pen handing it to her.
"Well see you" he said as he walked toward his car and soon was out of sight.

Chapter 9

Chapter nine!
The last chapter!

Once everything was settled the four woman looked at both men and said now tell us what happened!

So Henry began.

"I wet straight away to the docks after you told me". "Criss still was there".
!Then after I secured a boat I went to the prison cell discussed as a clergyman". "Telling the guards I needed to speak to the three Pirates".

"I had already knocked out the two watchmen at the prison gate and I gave this gate keeper a sleeping potion". "Then changing my cloths I went in".

Edward laughed "I almost mistook him for the jailer. He then helped us all into different cloths and we left the prison undetected Matt and John have gone different ways back into ships no doubt". "I have decided to give up that and become a gentleman again".

"Where will we go"? Asked both sisters?

"Into mothers homeland France we have a estate there where we can live comfortable".

And they all watched as the sunset on the horizon.

Ahead new adventures awaited them.
We all know how there life was don’t we?

Chapter Eight
The final drama before the end!

The boat made port at London port Anne watched from the deck searching for Catherine! She saw her standing next to two other woman and behind them stood a man of middle height. "Mr. Jones"! She thought "it seems ether she doesn’t know yet or she took it extremely well" ."She looks really happy as though she just got engaged"! She thought to her self. The captain came and stood by her, he smiled and sad "are those good people your escorts madam"? "Yes Sir she is my sister and some friends". "All very good you may leave any time". Anne curtsied and thanked him for his generosity "tell me sir what is to be done with the prisoners"? "They will be taken to the jail and hanged proper as all mutineers should". "Hanged"! Shuddered Anne "such a harsh punishment"! "It is a hard crime meme"! Said the Captain as the boat docked.

She thanked him again and walked off the boat as soon as she was off .
Catherine came to meet her. They embraced and cried and hugged for the longest time then Catherine saw her brother chained and cuffed marched down the street "oh oh" she gasped "Henry dear what are we going to do they are going to hang him"!
"No they won’t". Said Henry calmly "I have a plain of escape" .
"Yes said his sisters those two boys has always gotten each other out of scrapes".
"I see" said both woman. Henry first said "we are going to need a boat"."Was Criss w on the boat"? "Yes he should still be on".Said Anne. "Good I will go talk to him". And he was soon gone. Anne turned on Catherine "Henry dear"?
She said in a questioning voice .
The three woman laughed and Catherine smiled and said "Come to our apartment and I will tell you all about it".

"No"! Said Anne "this is wonderful if it is true. You are engaged"!
"Isn't it wonderful" said Catherine "he proposed to me on the very day I found out the truth and I said yes right away it was like a dream come true"!
"But how was it finding out I mean your experience must have been much more terrifying then mine"? "After all he changed into a wolf right in front of you and Edward well he may be dangerous all the time but he doesn’t suddenly change into an animal"! "I must admit said Catherine I am a bite frightened but I love him so much love conquers all fear". "I have something to tell you as well", said Anne with a smile "Edward proposed to me to a few days after his imprisonment". "He said once this was all over we would have a double marriage"!

The four of them smiled at each other "those sly men" said Catherine "telling each other that there going to be married I bet they had the escape all planed out"!
"We do".Said two voices behind them .
They all turned with a start there in the door way was Henry and Edward!

All four woman stood up "how"? Said Anne "There will be time enough for that".
Said both men "right now we have a ship we need to board if we are to be out at sea before dawn so come".

They all left out into the streets it was dark and the streets were deserted we must be extra quit said Henry the streets and corridors are full of guards!
They snuck along "hide"! Was the quite command and they were all pulled into a corridor as guards marched passed them.

Suddenly Edward hissed and spun around.There in the corridor was the tall figure of a man! The man came out of the shadow and Edward pulled everyone behind him when he saw who it was. Nevel! The Vampire snarled as Nevel said I have been all over the world looking for you and now I shall finish you off! Edward snarled Anne and Catherine and the others hide behind Henry but he was sweating and breathing hard.

"Back off"! Shouted Catherine they all did as she told .

A shining white silver light blazed in every direction when it faded in Henry's place was a wolf of immense size it growled with Edward at the vampire and they both lunged! Nevel who at first had had so much courage backed up at the ferrous monsters coming toward him. Edward had his teeth bared and was on hand an feet crouching and growling muscles tensed in position to pounce.
Henry was also crouching and growling sharp fangs showing.
The vampire lost all courage and ran.
Henry ran after it his heart unable to calm down from the anger and excitement. "Come". Said Edward "he can take care of himself".

Catherine looked back into the dark corridor she thought she could hear whimpering but she followed her brother and the two other girls and tried not to think of what was going on back in the corridor. They soon came to a dock where a boat was anchored! "Get on". Said Edward. "He should be hear shortly"!

They waited for a few hours suddenly they saw him he was torn and bloody but besides that he was running as fast as he could although there was a limp in his leg behind him there were guards! "Come on come on" said Edward the three others cheered him on and he leaped and landed on the deck as the boat pulled out just as the guards reached them and fired gunshots!

Soon they were out into the sea and Henry calmed down and went back into his human form all cut up and bruised but alive. Catherine knelt beside him touching him lightly as a silver medallion glowed on his chest he looked at her with dazed eyes as they continued to glow yellow until both his eyes and medallion stopped glowing then he looked up and smiled at Catherine she smiled back he sat up wincing "Linda"! said Catherine "get the medical bag"." Lydia get fresh cloths"!

The two sisters got to work without a word clearly they had done this before.

Anne watched on with Edward at her side holding her hand.

Chapter 7

Chapter seven
Back at Sea!


Edward walked into the cooks room to check on Anne a month had gone by at sea Anne seemed to fit in just fie she had absolutely no idea who Edward really was and nor that he was madly in love with her she and Mat had become friends and had no arguments mostly because Mat gave in when she begged or looked at him in a certain way so things were going fine but in a few more months they would set her free Edward had already written to Henry in Newcastle telling him to be there for her.

But things were changing after those few months he did not know why but she was starting to pay him more attention then the others he did not know why but he had a suspicion Mat he hopped he did not tell him anything that would arouse her suspicions so one day during meal time he took mat aside and asked him if he had told Anne anything about him only the fact that you are an orphan sir and that the Navy kicked you out because you tried to help me escape I think she likes men like yourself even if you are hiding all your good looks under that beard.

Edward let out a sigh of relief "ohh good I thought maybe you told her the truth"! "No sir never would do that not even if she did that fluttery thing with her eyelashes at me". Edward laughed "I am sure you wouldn’t to many girls have already tried that trick on you for you to be fooled by it".
Mat smiled "you got that right boss".

Just at that moment Anne came in and smiled at them both "hello men you know second Mate I have been on this ship for a mouth or more and never once has anyone hear called you by name you do have a name do you no"t?
"Sure I have one I just never use it anymore and no one on this ship uses it ether". "I see" said Anne a little disappointed "tell me then how much longer must I be on this ship"?"Another month or two then we shall reach London port and we can let you go". "But I have no one who will pick me up" said Anne "I have written to a friend of yours a Mr. Jones he and his sisters will be there to pick you up" .
Anne looked startled "how do you know about my relation with Mr. Jones" ?

"I am a Pirate lets just leave it at that". Anne looked more and more puzzled but said nothing and went back to work. Edward left the cabin and went to his own cabin John was there just taking off his fake whiskers Edward looked at him and said "I have to ask you to take over once we let her go" ?"Why"? "Because I love her and want to marry her and I cant very well do that if I am a Pirate now can I"?
"No but what about your other secrete will you tell her that one"?
"Not if I can help it but if I must tell her and she is frightened off, then I will give up and go back into the navy". John smiled "and do you really think she is going to warm up to you after you tell her the truth about yourself don’t you think she will hate you even more when she finds out you are a Pirate and the other thing you never want me to mention"! "If she really loves me she won’t care". "But if she finds out that you lied to her all this time do you think she will still love you still"? There was silence for a few moments then "Well that is something I never counted on but still what was I to do I didn’t know we would pick her up and how was I to tell her I was responsible for her guardians death you wouldn’t even be that brave". "True enough" said John "I guess I cant really correct you for anything because I really don’t know what’s going on up inside that head of yours".
Edward smiled "you sure don’t and I hope you never will you wouldn’t like what was going on inside off there" . John nodded "I believe you" I am sure you will always do the right thing". there was silence for a few moment suddenly up above the sounds of cannons could be heard. "What is going on up there" said Edward running up the ladder John followed behind.

On the deck were sailors and men shouting and screaming out to sea they saw what was making all the racket they could see a ship with white sails Anne came out and smiled it is one of the navy’s ships she would be saved ! Boom the whole boat rocked as a huge cannon ball hit the side of the ship they started going down "abandon ship"! Shouted Edward as men started jumping overboard Mat came up and Edward said "get Anne off the ship". Matt "Aye Aye Sir" said Matt taking Anne by the arm she looked back as the ship started sinking then before they could get off another cannon ball shook the boat and they all tumbled into the water !

Edward John and Matt were all wet Edward and Johns whiskers were off and showed there real faces Anne was nowhere to be seen "she must have gone under" said John Edward wasted no time he went under the water she had already sunk deep down without holding his breath. And went down faster then light and was soon back up with her in his arms She was unconsense and he was just about to help her out when he felt the point of a gun at the back of his neck "Hands up"! Came a voice "and turn around slowly" he did so to come face to face with Captain Smith! "Well well said the Captain if it isn’t the mutineer Edward Darcy"! "Hello captain" said Edward "its good to see you again"! "Not as good as it is to see you we have been looking for you for a long time to put you into a cell and your mutineer buddies to". He said looking at John and Matt. "Black slavery is abolished now my friend so your friend hear would have gone free if he had not mutinied with you so now all tree of you are charged on the same principle". Just then Anne woke up sputtering and coughing one of the sailors had revived her and she was looking with a shocked face at what she saw Edward she almost choked "you are hear"! "what are you doing hear"? "He" said the Captain "is a pirate mame a mutineer and Captain of the Swift Death"!

She looked up at him startled" You are the captain"! He smiled ruefully at her as his hands were clasped in Irons "so I am you think I would have told you after what I did unknowingly to your uncle and Family"? "But you’re a pirate""! "Yes".
"Dose your sister know"? "No I would not tell her for the world and I ask you that you will not tell her ether when you see her again". His eyes looked at her with the pleading face and she told him "I will not tel"l. He smiled gratefully at her as he was taken away with John and Matt to the Ships prison.

Anne with sudden tiredness sank down onto the deck head in her hands.
The Captain said "take the lady to my privet champers she needs to recover after all this excitement". The men nodded and helped Anne to the Captains privet chambers.

That evening while she was dinning with the captain she asked him to tell the story of the mutiny against the ship! The Captain smiled "well it was really simple it started with Edward wanting the black slave Matt to go free off course then it was impossible to do so and I told him that Edward had always been a softy with a big heart and I had never seen him go against my orders but that night along with a good friend named John they went down and set the slave Matt free then they all three jumped ship and swam off somewhere and Edward made his own ship on a deserted Island while the others defended it his whole crew was taken from mutineers like himself and they became the feared Swift Death upon the water. Anne listened to the tale in silence most of the story matched to what Matt had said about Edward and know she knew why she had thought the way he walked so familiar she had seen him walk that way back on land she wondered if Mr. Jones knew Edwards real identity She wanted the full story though so that night when everyone was sleeping she snuck down to the dark wet cages where the prisoners were kept and whispered his name.

"Edward"! He sat up and spun around there she was what in the world was she doing hear she came up to the cage lantern in her hand as she said "Edward I need you to tell me the truth about what happened to you". "I want to trust you but haw can you expect me to do that I told you are not honest with me tell the truth about yourself please and I will try to process everything in a optimistic way". He smiled at her "very well but you must be prepared for a shock and open your mind to anything". "Firstly do you believe in the supernatural"? "You mean like spirits and such"?
"Yes but more specifically do you believe in Vampires and War wolfs and those kind of things"? "Not really I mean I have never seen the like." "Are you sure about that"? asked Edward with a sly smile "are you sure you are not talking to one at this very moment". Anne looked at him and at the others "what are you trying to say" Edward?" "Only that things are not what they seem and that the story I tell you may put you into shock do you have a open mind and are you ready to believe anything"?
"I can try"said Anne more puzzled then ever ."That’s good enough" said Edward "very well I shall begin". "As you know I left my father and sister at 15 to join the navy and was after ward thought dead by my superiors because I did not come back for a few years". "That was true after I joined the navy we stopped at a small sea village". "There I met a man called Nevel he acted very friendly and invited me to come and drink with him to which I obliged him". "I did not know why but I did after that I awoke in the street to find myself changed I had sharper senses and everything around me seemed clearer". "Then there in front of me was Nevel he seemed to be cautiously coming toward me I spoke out what are you doing"? He said "finishing you I need it all from you for I am starving and you have some of the sweetest blood I have ever tasted"! I thought he was in sign. Then I touched something on my shoulder two small scares wide enough apart to be teeth!
I froze realizing what was in my path and what he had done to me.
He would have killed me I am sure but some thing must have frightened him off and he had come back later when I was more keen to finish me off.
I would not allow it so I ran. The navy was about to give up they had been searching for me for a week with no success but John my loyal friend would not give up on me and when they found me I was asked where I had been I had to think of something so I told them I got drunk. Of course they did not believe me so I was punished severely and told that next time something like that happened I would be left behind of course I believed them so from then on whenever we docked at port I would stay on bored there seemed no reason for me to get off I got everything I needed from the sea!
"Please don’t be grossed out". Said Edward looking at Anne "just don’t think about how I feed".

"Anyway I went on to become an officer by this time I would be around 21 my change had taken place when I was 19 so I would remain as 19 for ever".
"Around this time is when I Met Mr. Jones he was on a cruse with his two sister and I was an officer on leave on his ship he and I at first did not get along very well and I shall soon explain why". "It was the night of the full moon I was on deck keeping watch when I saw in the shadows the form of a man I could see in the dark with my new vision that it was Mr. Jones."He was talking to two men who I saw were Matt and John they both were taken into my confidence and knew who I was as I watched them both men took a few steps back I saw him shiver and shake and suddenly a burst of silver light shot out from him and in his place was a wolf the size of a bear"! "I didn’t know what to think so I just stood there. "His sisters came on deck they evidently knew who he was because they begged me with pleading voices. "please we didn’t expect to be on the boat this long the captain is coming up you have t do some thing"! I heard the Captain I only had a minute to come up with a lantern. So I went up to him and sad "Sir I think we shouldn’t have any slaves on this boat this lead as I hopped into an Argument finally I said "then I will do it myself" and taking Matt by the arm I dove into the water the captain was to angry looking over the side I had jumped to notice that John had taken Jones and his two sisters over the other side one we were out of sight of the ship. "We came to a desert Island and there I built the Swift Death it seemed to me the only way to explain myself was to become a Pirate so that is what I did. Mr. Jones and I in the meantime became good friend as I took him back to England every time he would change and there would be a ship in the way we would fire at it to chase them away and to drawn out the noise it worked and we were soon back in London.

"There Is where I masqueraded as a officer on leave and together we went to new castle where he bought the estate then he came to fetch me where I had been hiding in London and well you know the rest of the story".

Anne was silent for long while then she said "Is Mr. Jones safe"?
He looked there with a puzzled expression then he smiled as he said "of course he is safe your friend will be perfectly fine I even think he has fallen for her"!
"That would be something she has already fallen for him"! "Ha"! "How about that well I hope they get along as she is going to be staying with him a long time and I hope there talk of the truth will be in a more happy area then we are in".
Anne smiled as she said "you know I can’t really blame you for what you did after all you were only helping a friend and only had a few minutes to think of something I am sure that if you had more time you would have thought of something better".

Edward smiled "so you are not frightened of me at all"?
"No I am not I know you Edward and know you would not hurt anyone without a purpose". "
But what about your uncle"? "Well that was all unintentional uncle is happy where he is am sure and Aunt and cousins well they deserved to die they were never very happy on earth". The smile Edward gave her could have lit up the whole cell and Anne was joyous to know that felt and loved her just as much as she did maybe more.
She stuck her small arms through the bars and he took his in his they smiled and looked into each other’s eyes and were soon lost in a daze. There moment was broken by a clearing of throats. "I hate to break up the little moment" said John "but if you haven’t noticed Edward we are still stuck in a dungeon and probably you will never see each other again unless you make a plain!" "Yes yes a plain".
Edward thought in silence then he snapped his fingers "I have it Jones" !
"Anne"! He said turning to her "Yes"? she said ""can you get me some paper and pen?"
"Yes I can". She said and left the dungeon.
Edward smiled "Well well"! Said John "how about that it wasn’t as hard as you though was it"? "No it was not but I was sure after she listened to my story some thing would make her accept me". "Is that why you spoke with such confidence to her"? "Yes it was". "Tell me who are you going to write to"? "Jones of course".
"Tell me how are you going to get the letter to him"?
"By way of Criss"! "Is he still on the ship"?
"Yes I saw him as I got on the ship I will ask Anne to give it to him and then he can give it to Jones".
Anne soon came back with the writing materials and he began his letter" Dear Jones I need your help wait for us at London port yours sincerely Edward".

He then folded the envelope and handed it to Anne saying "see that this gets into the hands of Criss the tugboat man he will be standing by the deck wearing a white sailors hat you can’t miss him".

She took the letter and left the dungeons soon the letter was on its way to Jones.

Chapter six.
The truth at last.

It was the night of the full moon the night when things change and the unexpected happens.

Henry was sitting with Catherine outside on the porch when the full moon came up he had brought her hear for this very reason he wanted to see if her love was real.

She looked at him the moon over his shoulders and suddenly said "why are you sweating on such a cold night"? "My God Henry what’s happening to you your swelling up"!She screamed and would have fallen of the porch but he caught her she screamed louder as his hands became claws his eyes started glowing yellow and his nose became a wolf noise! She tried pulling free but his grip was strong.

Suddenly something made him let her go and she ran and ran not heading the voices of the two sisters telling her not to leave the house and danger.

She ran out into the forest screaming all the way and collapsed by a small pond!
A rustled in the trees made her look up and she froze coming toward her on ether side were wolves sneering and growing she was frozen and trapped behind her a pound of water around her 12 or so wolves coming toward her . She shut her eyes sure that now she was gone and going to see her father. She braced herself ready for the first leap but it never came instead she heard a louder growl and whimpers like hurt Dogs she peaked one eye and saw a huge wolf ten times her size almost as large as a bear slashing about tossing the wolves aside as if they were nothing more then rocks. Soon all the wolves had ether run off or were dead! She then opened her eyes and saw the monster wolf he looked at her his eyes glowing yellow as the moonlight shone over him then he stood up and cautiously walked toward her she stepped back and fell into the pound. He stopped in his tracks and stood there watching her she didn’t move only stared at him swallowing sometimes and shutting her eyes but every time she opened her eyes he was still there looking at her then she noticed something there was a pool of blood by his leg. All fear disappeared from her and she stood up and walked toward him he went back a few inches limping as he did so.

It’s ok she said I want to help you he whimpered and walked back a few more inches what’s wrong she thought to herself if this is Henry and he is what I think he is then why this fear of me now that I want to help him .

Suddenly a light shone on the wolf and he shivered the moon was almost gone he howled so loud Catherine shut her eyes and covered her ears as the howl screeched through the forest when it was over and she looked to the place where the wolf was in his place was Henry! His cloths were torn with cuts and tears and on his leg was a gash indented with marks that looked like wolf teeth!

She slowly walked toward him his　silver medallion hug about his neck as he opened his eyes they had a faraway look in the eyes which still glowed he stared at her with scared eyes for some time with no recognisation in his eyes finally the medallion glowed so brightly she had to look away when she looked again his eye were back to there normal color and he was looking at her with a face that showed worry .

She smiled at him and looked at her with a surprised face as he choked out the words "you are not afraid"? "Oh I am afraid as well as puzzled and awed and everything else you can imagine but you are still Henry and I love you for your heart not your face or your shape although I must say you are very handsome as a man".

He smiled at her "you know you warmed up to me much faster then my sisters did I was expecting much more screaming and locking yourself up in your room for a week that is what they did"! Catherine smiled "well you see I am nothing like your sisters and I am sure they did not run out of the house or have you save t here lives from wolves". "No they did not those wolves are going to hold a grudge against me for some time now I usually am on friendly terms with them this was the first time I had to attack them I need to apologize to them next time I see them".
"I am sorry about that said　Catherine apologize to them from me to maybe we can all be friend".s Henry laughed then winced "oh"1 said Catherine with concern "dose this happen to you every time I mean look at your skin it is covered in scares."
"Yes every time war wolfs are known to attack themselves and it always hurts when I change it leaves a scare every time" ."The one on your shoulder the silver scare that was glowing and looks like fang marks"?"The mark of the war wolf the scare will never go away it was left there by the one who turned me into the monster I am". Catherine looked at him with sympathy and said "come lets get you home and clean up your leg I am glad they didn’t break any bones". "So am "I. Said Henry as she helped him to his feet. "While you recover you can　tell me the whole truth about yourself and I can spend much more time with you on the excuse that I am your nurse I am sure your sisters will not object"? He smiled "on the contrary they will be more then happy they had been waiting most impenitently for you to find out and they are going to be ecstatic when they find out that you took it so well" .
"I am glad of it". Said Catherine "come lets get you home before this gets infected"!

He nodded and stood up with her and they slowly made there way back toward home.

Chapter four
Ship life and the truth continues to hide!

Anne woke up the next morning with a bad headache!
She hardly remembered the last nights events except that she had for some reason gone into the Captain cabin to eat with him and had to wear this extremely tight dress! She shook her head she had no idea what came over her but got up and got dressed then went to the cabin door it was unlocked so she opened it and went outside onto the ships deck ! There were men up and working already she saw the Captain on deck with someone next to him she recognized him at once the second mate who had brought her to him who smelled so nice .As if on Que he turned around and she saw a face which made her stumble back. It was hideous covered in scares and a big harry beard! "Why was I attracted to that face"? She thought to herself as the captain also turned and she saw the same face but not as wild as the second mates.

The captain smiled and walked up to her and said "how did you sleep miss"?
"Very well thank you". "Good good well now" he said "if you are going to stay on my ship for some time we need to find something for you to do we cant have no one being idle now can we" ?"No sir" said the second mate his voice also made her start it was not a voice she expected from such a gruff face it was soft and warm just like his smell." But she thought he is very ugly I guess he has a voice and a smell to make others see beyond that I am sure no girl ever got close enough to hear him speak his face would frighten them off he would frighten me off to if I had anywhere to go."

Her train of thought was broken by the captain voice who said can you cook?
"Yes sir I can". "Good we can put you to work with the cook he will be glad for the help". Mate take her down to the cooks gallantry!

The second mate saluted then taking her by the arm his touch was extremely soft his hands were very soft for a man of the sea but at the same time he had a very strong grip she followed him all the while stating at him h was very strange for a Pirate and yet there was something about him that was familiar to her the way he carried himself was proud and important not like a second mate more like a Captain.

"Huph" She thought "I bet they are all like him and think of themselves as self important people they are lawless pirates after all"! She followed in silence after this but could not get him off her mind he knocked on a door and opened it there was a very big but not fat black man covered in steam from a cook pot he looked up and smiled showing golden teeth and holding a huge wooden ladle.

Anne was so frightened she hide behind Edwards back he smiled and said "Mat this is Anne she is going to help you with the cooking"!

"Well how bout that" said Mat "just what I need someone to make my load easier tell me little girl what can you do"? "I can make almost anything" said Anne in a trembling voice "I was the head cook at my house". "All the better" said Mat "so we can get to work then come hear I’ll give you an apron and you can get to work chopping up those vegetables while I continue suturing this broth".

Edward left with a smile on his face as he closed the door behind him.

He had met Mat when he first joined the navy he was only other besides John who knew about his real condition and he trusted him to remain silent .

He went back up to the ships deck and went to John who smiled at him as he said "so how did she take to big Mat"? "She was frightened I could tell from the look on her face that she had never seen a black person before but Mat is harmless and she will warm up to him eventually". John nodded "I remember when we first saw him he was a slave on the Ship and when the Pirates attacked it he jumped ship with us and we built or I should say you built this ship and became Captain of the Pirates"!
"Yes he is as harmless as a puppy but the puppy when angry has the temper of a bull"! ."Well I am sure she will do nothing to anger him they will get along great together unless one of them decides to become master then we will have problems"!

John nodded "But If that's the case I think she will wine Mats weak spot was always woman remember"? "Yes I remember" said Edward with a smile "he could never do anything to hurt them and always gave them what they wanted if they pushed hard enough for it". "Well we shall see if she is like other woman". Said Edward.

The two men smiled as they headed out into the deep sea.

Chapter five
Back on land!

Catherine was horrified when she heard the news of the Pirate attack at sea.

The sisters and Henry where becoming more and more worried about her as she didn’t come out to eat and her meals were left outside cold!

Finally after many days of nervous waiting she came down stairs.
She was red eyed from crying and look sickly and pale and hardly made it down the stairs before she feel forward and would have hit her head if Henry had not caught her in his arms she looked up at him with red eyes as he carried her to a chair and sat her down his two sisters where sitting there with worried faces and looked at Catherine as she sat down and choked back a sob and hardly could swallow the tea they gave her.

Finally Henry spoke he said "do you want to hear the news or will you not be able to take it"?

"I can take it", she croaked Henry took a deep breath as he touched something on his chest and read in a calmed voice "Dear madam we regret to inform you that your master and his wife and two daughters have been found to be dead.""There is hop though Mrs.Anne Dawson has not been found and could still be alive on some ship I hope this news gives you hope".

"Captain Adryan"!

Henry looked up at Catherine who dried her eyes and said "that dose give me hope but what about Pirates if she is taken what will they do with her"? "I don’t know" said Henry "but if she has no one left they can’t used her for ransom it might be fruitless to hope"。"Henry"! said both of her sisters "don’t upset her more she just got over it". "No no its fine" said Catherine with a smile "I can believe she is alive that will keep me alive as well even though I may never see her again".

"Excuse me" said Henry suddenly "I have something important I must see to".
And he got up so fast it startled Catherine and swiftly left the room.
"I hope" said Catherin "my behavior did not make him upset really his massage did not bother me" . "No"! said Linda "I do not think it is that he sometimes gets these strange implosions I will go see what it is this time".
And she got up and followed Henry out the door Lydia smiled at Catherine and said "would you like something to eat you haven’t eaten in months" !
"Yes"! said Catherine with a weak smile "that would be nice".
"Wait hear then I will call the servant for something light".

Linda followed Henry's footsteps to where she knew he was going heard tearing and howling then quietness! She opened the door to the room and saw him lying on the floor cloths torn with a wide gash in his arm around his neck the silver medallion had flown off a few feet away from him. She went up to him cautiously picked up the medallion and went up to him his wounds were already healing. She put the medallion back on his neck and stepped back as he opened his eyes which were still faintly glowing! She stepped back and watched him cautiously. He stood up shakily and looked at her with a blank face for a few moments. Then reorganization came over his face and he smiled she smiled back and he winced "how is it healing"? She asked ."
Its fine". "You shouldn’t have read the letter to her it was just to much on your heart all the excitement she has given you". "I am surprised you could hold it that long". "It was longer than I expected"! He said smiling faintly "but once I left I had already started changing that is why I ran by the time I got to the iron room I had already half changed"!

"I am glad you did not change in front of her" said Linda with a smile "It would have frightened her off forever"! Henry nodded "So do you think Anne is still alive"? "If Edward found her I am sure she is". Heaven only knows how far he has gone to conceal the truth from her." "Knowing Edward he might go to any length to hide the truth from her he and I are the same in that way". "And you both are in love and have to hide the truth from the girl you love"."It is sad how is she going to react when she finds out"?"Like you did I hope" said Henry "that is why I plan on making her more acquainted with me so that when she dose find out it wont matter as much as if she hardly knew me". Linda smiled "good luck in that If you can speak to her for more then a few minutes without starting to mumble and gibber nonsense" .

"Hey its not my fault I get excited and it takes time for me to calm down"!
"Well you have to work on that before you speak to her or you will get no where I suggest you practice before speaking to her and go to the yoga master his lessons have helped you with calming yourself have they not" ?"They have your right I had better do all that stuff before I speak to her again" ."Good now I will go to her and see if sister have gotten her to eat something she is going to need her strength in the coming days"!

Days went by in Newcastle Catherine tried to put the past behind her and it seemed like the others were helping her to do so they made no comment of Anne nor of anything related to the subject. Instead she noticed Henry was paying attentions to her which were not unwelcome since she liked him but it was strange for he sometimes just sat by her for a full hour not saying a word and sometimes he would start blabbering about nothing until he got up and left red with embarrassment on those days she would not see him again all day and in the evening when he would come to dinner he would look washed out and pale. She had no explanation for this behavior except that he was in love that was the only explanation she could think of and it made her smile thinking in that way. And when she looked at his sisters they seemed to confirm it giving him little looks and hints it was unmistakable and she felt flattered thinking of him helped her get her mind off Anne and her brother who she was sure was also dead .But when she thought about Henry and that he could perhaps love her it made her feel better.

Henry in the meantime was totally ignorant of her thoughts and thought everyday that he was getting nowhere although his sisters told him it was getting somewhere he didn’t see it all e saw where polite smiles and giggles every time he spoke to her and laughter every time he left in a hurry but he would not give up so easy and continued trying he would make it he would.

Meanwhile Catherine was thinking "how can he be so blind it is truly amazing that men are so blind that they cannot even see the truth under their noise!"
"Well I will not be the one to tell him he shall have to see for himself the truth even if it takes all his life".

This went on for some time until he did see but there was another obstacle now how was he to tell he the truth without frightening her and when she found out the truth would she still love him?

This question haunted him for a long time and went on to haunt him until one day something happened which would show weather all his work had been in vain or not.

Chapter Three。.
Time go’s bye and children grow up.

Life went back to how it had been and Anne and Catherine returned to their home and went back to their everyday life. Mr. Jones and his sisters sometimes came to visit and when he did the two girls were given a day off. Mrs. Dawson wanted to show Mr. Jones that Catherine lied and that she was a good person and she made her daughters behave on those days, but on the other days she was as bossy and mean as ever.
Of course the girls would not wine to him about their problems but whenever he asked them how there life was they were forced to answer properly and Mr. Jones always went home with a bad impression of the mother and two daughters as did his sisters who where becoming more and more found of the two girls and wished to meet them more and more until they went to their brother with a request.

Henry was in his study when a servant came into the room and said “your sisters wish to speak with you”! “Send them in “he said as the servant left the room.
The door soon opened and both his sisters came into the room he smiled and said
“dear sisters what is it”? They both came up to him and said “brother we have a request to ask you”! “Yes” he sad looking at them curiously“ you know we have become very fond of the two girls and enjoy their company so much”. “Yes I can see it”. “Well brother we were both wondering if it would be alright for them to come and stay here at new castle for a few months”? “it is extremely dull and Mr. Dawson is taking his family for vacation so the girls will be at home by themselves.”

“Sisters you know I can’t have them live in this house what if they find out the truth they will be frightened away for eternity do you want that”?“No”! They both sighed “but brother do you really think it will affect them that much I mean we found out by accident and it only made us lock ourselves up in our room for a week after which when we saw you meant us no harm we got used to the fact and came out and just ignored it”.

“Yes but sisters you must remember you were living with me all those years and you knew me they don’t nor do they know Edwards true identity”.
“Well we don’t need to tell them that I mean it’s not like he is going to come back“. “True but he being Edward we never know what his planes are he could show up without warning anytime when he is on the run”! “That is true but what is to be done about that？” “Well it is likely that Anne will be going with them and Catherine will be left at home so I guess we could invite her over but remember keep her away from me as much as possible” .”You remember at the dance how he had to hold me back I would have jumped on her otherwise” !

The sisters nodded soberly “thank you brother we promise to make it as easy as possible for you while Catherine is hear”.

He nodded and they left the room .He sighed and pulled a Silver medallion out from under his shirt his face contorted as he calmed his breathing and bought his heart rate down then he stood up and left the room it was going to be a long summer with Catherine in the house.

The ship whistle blew as Anne stood on the port saying her last goodbyes to Catherine who came to the port to say goodbye. “we’ll see you in a few months”.
Said Anne “Enjoy your stay at Newcastle and don’t do anything to fun without me”.

They both gave each other a tight hug and let go as the ship went out of the harbor and into the ocean Anne watched from the ship’s deck until Catherine was out of sight then she fixed her eyes on the blue ocean and tried to enjoy the sight before her and be excited about the cruse ahead of her.

The first few weeks of the cruise went by uneventfully.
They passed by many boats and ships and saw many sea creatures in the water some she had never heard or seen before. When the unexpected thing happened.

It was toward the center of their cruse when it happened.
Anne was in her cabin with her sisters when she heard noises on deck like running and screaming she ran up with her sisters and saw that there ship was being attacked by cannons from a ship with black sails and a skull and crossbones! Pirates! “Get below”! Shouted the captain to her “it is no place for you girl get below deck”!

Anne didn’t hesitate she got below where her cousins and Aunt where waiting for her to come back with the news. When she told them about the pirates the Aunt and two cousins went into hysterics and screaming uncle soon came down and the five of them hide in the cabin.

Then an explosion shook the whole boat it blew up!
And Anne remembered nothing after that…

The Swift Deaths sails waved in the wind as the boat sailed towered the wreckage the captain and second mate watched from the deck to see if there were any survivors.
“None it seems Captain”. said the second mate. “There is I can feel it” said the captain looking over at the wreckage “keep looking”! “There”! Called a voice “I see something down there”! “We’ll pull it up”! Shouted the captain hurrying over to the place he pulled back with a start when he saw the body they pulled up!“No”! He almost shouted “not her”! “Captain”? said the second mate “what is it “?
“Not her”! He said again, “take her down to the cabin and make sure she is well cared for” .Once she was gone the captain turned to the second mate and said “John you are to do as I say She is not to know I am on this boat so you will take my place as captain until we can get her to London and back to my friend in Newcastle. “Do not ask why”! But Sir there is no way we can get her into London the place is full of police!” “Well we will have to keep her with us them but she is not to know I am on board is that understood”?“Aye Aye Captain”! “Is that understood mates “? He said turning to his Men “Aye Aye Captain”!They all said. “Good now take her down I need to get out of the sunlight “!And he went off.“What do you suppose is wrong with the captain”? Said third mate Dan to John. “Beats me” he answered “but I guess he has met that girl somewhere before and doesn’t want her to know who he is”! Ahh”! Said all the other crew “woman”.. They all snickered and went back to their duty.

Anne woke up to find herself in a cabin bed she sat up and looked around her she didn’t remember this place nor why she was hear the last thing she remembered was an explosion and then nothing . The cabin door opened and down the corridor came the sound of boots and she stood up and backed into a corner in front of her was a man with a scraggly beard and sea captains hat dressed in trench coat and boots!
Very much like pirate cloths she thought to herself as he came up to her and said “hello miss I am Captain John Scruffier of the Swift Death”!
A Pirate ships name she thought and looked at the men behind him they were all tough and gruff looking men dressed in nothing but pants and boots with hug muscle body’s or scrawny body’s."What do you want with me"? she said "I am alone and have no relations so you cannot keep me for ransom".
The Captain smile "oh come now I am sure there is someone who will be worried about you"? "No you just killed the only relation that dose care about me"!
"Well that is bad news isn’t it men we will just have to let her go somewhere where is the closest port"?
"London port Sir". "Well now the port is covered in armed clompers this time of the year we will just have to wait till next year to let her go till then she is a guest on this ship not a prisoner remember that men".
"Ayy Ayy Sir"! Said the men. "Good now get back to work all of you"!
They all saluted and left the room leaving the captain and Anne alone in the cabin.
"You can feel lucky miss that you have no relations otherwise we would have held you for ransom and you would have been a prisoner but since you do not and we cannot use you like that you just have to stay on this ship until we can set you free until then you are a guest on my ship and you will join me for dinner this evening in my cabin".With that he turned and left the room.Anne was frightened this was unlike anything she had ever experienced before taken by Pirates and stuck on there boat was the worst thing imaginable for her and now she was stuck on the swift Death with no way to get off she was as good as prisoner no matter what the captain said.
She sat on the edge of the Bed and cried! A knock at the door made her look up "who is it"? She chocked, "second mate hear to prepare you for this evening".
"Go away" she said "tell the captain I am not coming"!
"Oh I wouldn’t do that if I were you missy" said the voice" the captain does not like it when his orders are ignored". "What is he going to do to me"? Anne said "he can’t hurt me all he can do is threaten me" "True"! said the voice in a soothing tone "but you would like the way in which he threatened you would you"? Anne didn’t know why but she agreed and the door opened to revel a tale not to muscular man in his early twenties with a black beard and shinning eyes and he smelled! Not bad but it was a strange smell that made her mouth water and she came closer he pulled back holding out a dress as he said in the same soothing voice "the captain asks that you wear this dres"s! She took it from him still looking at him as she took the dress and left the room to change.

The black beard man smiled she didn’t recognize him at all his power was working on her nicely he had no worry of her recognizing him! She came back from the room she had been changing in and he smiled she looked very pretty in the dress he chose and was glad he chose it. "Follow me"! he said and opened the door for her as they left the cabin and walked toward the captain’s quarters."Wait hear". he said "I will go tell the captain you are hear"!She nodded and he went inside.

"Now" he said to John who was sitting at the captain seat "you did very well now you must go on a little deeper she is going to come in and I being second mate will eat with you continue your role as captain and everything will be fine".

John nodded and Edward went out again to get her he found her still in the same position he left her in and took her by the hand and brought her inside and sat her down by the Captain he sat on the other side of the table and the captain smiled and said "I see that you have not disappointed me I have always liked that dress and on you it looks very lovely"1 He smiled and she blushed Edward cleared his throat.
"Ahh yes" said the Captain "we should eat before the food gets cold". He passed her a plate of meat and she passed it on to Edward who put some on his plate.
Edward nodded to John who got Anne interested in something then Edward picked up his meat and put it back on the plat when she wasn’t looking. Also he filled his goblet with something from a pouch at his side when she wasn’t looking and drank it. After the meal was over He took her back to her room and locked the door behind him then he let out a deep sigh! "That would have been a giveaway" he thought
"if she had seen what he had done but it went all according to plan".
He then went to his own quarters where he and John shared a room .

John was in his room taking off the fake beard and whiskers and through a secret compartment he was pulling up a line on it were raw fish and other sea creatures he was draining the blood and throwing the fish back the blood then went into pouches all along the walls.Edward also removed his fake beard and whiskers and sank into the chair as he said "you did well for your first day of being captain". "Thank you sir and you did well at being second mate but I think your power over her did more did you see her face she was practically hypnotized"! "Yes but I only used it slightly to cloud her when it was meal time and to get her to come". "I have to do it without power tomorrow just to see if my disguise is enough if not then I will have to keep her hypnotized until we can let her go" .John nodded. "So asked Edward how is the food coming"? "Fine sir I even found a body of a dead person who still had blood in him I drained him and you should have enough to last for a few weeks"."Thank you John I really appreciate you helping me in this way".
"Think nothing of it Sir you and I were always good friends as young boys and just because you changed a wee bite dose make no difference to me" .
Edward smiled “thank you John you were always a Friend I could count on”.
“Thank you Sir said John for being a friend to me when I needed it the most”.
“May I ask”? Said John “where have you met that girl and why are you like this” ?
“I know her from shore and I don’t want her to know who I really am I am afraid she might tell my sister and then it would break her heart plus I like her”!
John laughed “oh it love is it I can understand that well enough but about your sister eh I don’t understand didn’t even know she was still alive!” “Oh she alive and healthy and living with Henry now that I just killed the people she was working for all for the best I suppose he will treat her much better than they ever did”. But now it is time for night watch and I need to make planes so until morning John.

“Goodnight sir” said John leaving the cabin to his own compartment to the only bed in the cabin .

Edward sat on the captains char and looked at the charts while he thought of Anne and the Adventure he was in store for with her!

Chapter 2
The Ball!

The sound of the wheels and horses clomping through the dirt road was the only noise hear as the Dawsons made their way to Newcastle for the ball Mrs. Dawson was in very bad humor as she stared out the window when she found out that a maid was to go with them and that she was to wear a French ball room dress from her brother she threw a fit and her daughters cried but they went in a sulky mood but by the day of the ball they had forgotten all about it and told themselves that it didn’t matter because he would still like them best they were determined to ignore their cousins as much as possible and that is what they were doing in the carriage occasionally giving her and her friend dirty looks and sometimes staring enviously at Catharine’s new dress.

But soon they forgot all about it as they came closer to Newcastle even their mother cheered up a bite and said "Now girls remember what I told you about first impressions”.

They nodded and as the carriage came to a stop the Port man opened the door and the ladies got out. They made their way to the house entrance music was playing and talking was heard they went in.
The Butler checked their names off the list as they went in the house.
Inside there was liveliness and they went into the room and stood around watching the dance.
Ssuddenly through the door came Mr.Jones and the music stopped everyone looked up at him he was leading his sister by the hand and behind him his other sister was being lead by the hand of another young Gentleman!

Everyone was silently studying Mr. Jones he was of medium height with a fair face and handsome features and was dressed very gentleman like but his friend caught the attention of the others especially Anne.

He was tall with a good figure dark handsome features and very gentleman like.
It was soon circulated that his name was Darcy and he was a naval officer on leave!

Anne turned to Catherine who was next to her and said “Don’t you think he is much more handsome then Mr. Jones”?

Catherin smiled, “Certainly although I do think Mr. Jones is more my type”.

“Good then you can have him and I can have Mr. Darcy.”

They giggled playfully then the music started again and the two girls moved to the side of the room and watched with amusement as Mrs. Dawson took her two daughters up to Mr. Jones and his friend and introduced themselves.

The Gentlemen smiled polity and nodded then they both took one girl and went to the dance floor after the dance was over Catherine and Anne were talking in a corner when they heard a voice which said “If you are otherwise not engaged may I request the next dance Mrs. Dawson “?

Anne looked up surprised to see the face of Mr. Darcy!

Well uhh sure it would be a pleasure she said curtsying he bowed and went away.

How did he know my name asked Anne out loud?

“He must have gotten it from your uncle” said Catherine with a smile .

Anne blushed. Surprised and embarrassed on being asked after for she was sure that is how he had gotten her name the next dance came and Mr. Darcy came up to her she curtsied and taking his hand.

They went onto the dance floor! They began the dance in silence and Anne who was shy was happy to have it that way when suddenly he spoke “you are an orphan I believe”? “Yes I was at at a young age orphaned and live with my uncle”! .

He nodded “I am an orphan to I went to sea at 15 and heard while at sea that my father had died of stroke I went back to try to find my sister but they told me she was nowhere to be found we searched hard but eventually had to give up and I went back to the navy”!

“That’s interesting” said Anne “you see that girl there she said pointing at Catherine she is my adopted sister my uncle found her at a maid orphanage and took her in her story is much like yours she told me her brother left home when he was 15 to join the navy then soon after her father died and she was frightened and ran away from home and wandered into London and was a beggar until she was picked up by the offices of the orphanage”!

“Really” he said “and how old is she”?
19 like myself! “Could it be he thought you say her name is Catherine well that is my sisters name to and she is the right age two could it be it would be wonderful to know that she was still alive”.

After the dance Anne took him over to Catherine who was sitting in the corner watching the couples she looked up and said with a smile “you do well together”
“Thank you”! Said Darcy then Anne said “Catherine Mr. Darcy hear would like to dance with you”! “Me”! Said Catherine with shock “very well but I must warn you sir I am not a very good dancer”!“You will be more than sufficient”he said talking her hand and leading her to the floor.

Anne watched them intently through the whole dance she watched with a happy smile as she saw her friends face light up with shock and Mr. Darcys face brighten to she smiled could she wish for anything better for her friend the dance was soon over and Catherine came toward her flushed and with a happy smile said “guess what I just found out something wonderful”! “I can see”. said Anne “come dear tell me what is it is”! Anne blurted out “my brother is still alive”! “Really”！ Said Anne with a smile “and where is he”? "Hear”! Said Catherine “right her behind me”!

Anne looked at Mr. Darcy who smiled and said “it is true everything matches up the date our fathers name our last name and our age it all adds up”!

“That is wonderful”! Said Anne I am so happy for you “I must tell Mr. Jones”. Said Mr. Darcy “excuses us”! He said to Anne taking Catherine’s hand and walking toward Mr. Jones.

She watched as Catherine was introduced and Mr. .Jones and his sisters listened with Astonished faces as he told the story others were also listening ad once the story was over everyone began talking at once Mrs. Dawson came up and said Mr. Darcy “How happy I am for you isn’t wonderful girls she said to Marry and Jane “Yes mama they said “we were always good friends with her weren’t we Anne“? They said as Anne walked up.

Mr. Darcy frowned and said “really because I hear a very different account from my sister hear that you have treated her very ill indeed and that Anne hear was her only friend while she was with you”!

Marry and Jane were speechless as was the mother.

Mr. Jones broke the silence with “well now on that happy note shall we continue where did the music go”? “Come now step up everyone the music began again”!

The ball was soon over and The Dawsons were asked to stay a Little longer for Mr. Darcy said he would like to speak with Mr. Dawson some more after everyone left.

They were led into the drawing room and all sat down Mr. Darcy spoke first
“I would like to say first that I am extremely happy to find that my sister is alive and well and that I wish with all my heart I had never left but that cannot be helped now. Secondly I would like to thank Mr. Dawson for his kindness in taking her in and to Mrs. Anne for being such a good friend to her his thanks was received cordially. And now come to the point I want her to come and live hear while I stay in Newcastle I have talked it over with Mr. Jones and his sisters and they are more than willing to help out then when I go back into the navy she can decide if she would rather live with Mr. Jones or Mr. Dawson that is completely up to her?

There was a long silence Catherine was struggling to make a choice of course she wanted to go and live with her brother but what about Anne she couldn’t just leave her to this fate of working alone again so she made up her mind she said “brother please don’t take this personally but I would rather stay with Anne we have both become good friends and she needs me.”

There was silence for a few moments then Mr. Darcy looked at his sister and said
“well here is what I proposes I only have a week to be hear then I have to go back to the navy, until then why don’t both of you come and stay with me and Mr., Jone He said giving his friend a pleading look. Mr. Jones nodded in agreement“yes why don’t you come”? “After all Catherine you might never have another chance like this to see your brother again”.

If that is alright with you Sir” said both men looking at Mr. Dawson It is alright with me” said Mr. Dawson if the girls will agree?“Of course “said both of them together “that would be wonderful”! “Great”! Said Mr. Darcy “then we can begin.” “Come we can show you to the rooms you will be staying in and we will send a servant for your cloths” .

Mrs. Dawson and her two daughters tried to keep their faces composed but then right after they had got into their carriage and were making their way toward home Mrs. Dawson threw a fit “how could you” she screamed to her husband .“Well he said what did you want me to do refuse that would have looked very bad in the eyes of both men. Was I to refuse his request to be with his sister before he went into the navy or make ourselves look good in his eyes? Dear be reasonable".Mrs. Dawson was quite after that but her daughters were crying all the way home and their father could not make them be quite.

Meanwhile back at Newcastle estate things were in a much more cheerful mood Catherine and Anne sat down in the drawing room with Mr. Jones two sisters Linda and Lidya They were two of the most elegant and sweet women they had ever met and soon they were talking and getting to know each other better.

Once the girls were gone the two men came into the drawing room with the lights out.
And sat talking in hushed whispers do you think they suspect said Edward Darcy to his friend Henry Jones .He shook his head “not in the least “,”when will you return to the Swift Death”! “Just as soon as I can jump ship my men are waiting for me Jones under no circumstance are you to let my sister know my real business it would lead to unwanted questions about both of us” ! “I understand I would not want to frighten my sisters off ether they are safest with me and I will make sure to watch over your sister as well.” ”And her friend”said Edward with a slight smile.Jones winked at him “of course her friend to I wouldn’t forget about her”.
Edward punched him playfully and the two men left the drawing room and headed off to get something to eat.

Meanwhile the girls were talking together in their bed room “what do you think about all that just happened”Anne asked “it is truly amazing that things should turn out like this” said Catherine “just think we both became beast Friends under unusual circumstances and under even more unusual circumstances I met my brother who I thought was dead”! “Yes it is most unusual” said Anne “and what about now knowing that you might never see him again for he is going into the Navy”!
“It is sad” said Catherine “I do so wish that I could spend more time with him but what can be done about it”? “Nothing”!“So I must just enjoy my time with him while I can”.Then they both drifted off into a deep sleep.

The week went by uneventfully Anne and Catherine stayed at the large estate of Newcastle and did uneventful things Catherine’s brother taught them both horseback riding and other sports. But all to soon a week was up and they were at the port waving goodbye to their new friend. He kissed both of them goodbye then waved from the ship as he sailed away.
