Angels in the neighborhood!
Prologue.
A noise shrill and harsh made Elena sit up with a start it was pitch dark outside but something had woken her these past few nights there was something that continued to wake the same hour every night!.........

Chapter one.
Stranger!

Living with her uncle in a small village Elena was never a very social girl at 18 she was almost done with her school and was working part time at a small bakery She was a small girl of short stature and small and plump not a very popular figure at school with brownish blackish hair to her shoulders and brown eyes and enjoyed the loner sports such as walks and hikes in the mountains, As an only child with both parents dead she lived alone with her uncle who was a police officer. He usually let her alone and she did as she pleased until one day something changed in her life that would never go back to the way it was before.

It all started one ordinary Day it was August and she walked a block from home to get to her school her 18th birthday was coming up in a few days and of course the only thing she ever got from the people at school was a short Happy birthday and nothing more she didn’t care she wasn’t much for parties and preferred taking a walk or listening to something on her Mp three player that is why whenever it rained she was in a grouchy mood today it was overcast and windy and she ran most of the way to get to the schoolhouse. Once there she noticed something in the parking lot there was a Red sports car the kind that you can only find in the big city or in catalogs it was a car every boy in the neighborhood had been wishing for and now one of them had got it she didn’t really think to much on it though she wasn’t much of a car person but she did think the red color was extremely pretty.
Into the school house she went and noticed something else there was a long line of students mostly girls lining up or pushing in front of the principles office she asked the first girl she saw what was going on and she answered it’s a new boy at school I only caught a glimpse of him but Rachel says he is extremely cute we want to be the first to introduce ourselves to him when he come out!

Ahh Elena shook her head new boys everyone listens to Rachel the most popular girl in school this boy must be quite a looker to make Rachel dump Fred who is on the Football team and is pretty cut with those baby blue eyes and baby blond hair I wonder what this boy looks like? Not that I care a speck he probably wont even pay that much attention to me and that must be his car huh a rich kid defiantly not my type. With that thought she made her way to the classroom and sat down.

Soon the other girls crowed in Rachel a tanned blond cheerleader and her two brunet buddies came in dressed in there tailor made uniforms and took there places at the front Fred a big lean muscled boy with baby blue eye and short blond hair who was the football captain came in. Elena noticed that he was a bite down in spirits and although she did not know him well she felt sorry for him knowing that Rachel had probably dumped him on seeing the new face. Now she was more curious then ever to see this new boy. She sat at the very back with an empty seat next to her.
Once everyone was seated the door opened again and everyone turned to see the new face!

Elena turned to she was the closest and she stared! There coming toward her was the most handsome face she had ever seen he was tall "even a bit taller than Fred"!
She thought. With a strong lean muscled body. His features where smooth, a very strong jaw a straight noise and a smooth forehead he looked clean-shaven but you could tell in his features that he was older he had the most beautiful eyes of Green that tilted upward like a cats and his hair which was all dark brown waves came down to his neck in small waves.

She tried to concentrate on her work as he walked up to the front of the classroom it seemed every girls eye was on him. He was dressed in a school uniform that did not look American. More like British! Hum Elena had always wanted to go to Britten and meet a British boy. She had a thing for boys from Britten. She watched with the rest of the class as he went up to the teachers desk and the teacher asked him to introduce himself. "Edward Darcy" he said in a soft voice almost like music "I am 18 and a foreign exchange student from Britten"!
All the girls in the room let out sighs the boys scowls.

"Thank you young Man". said Mr.Pratt the history teacher "Now where shall we seat you"? All the girls started shoving the boy next to her! Mr.Pratt smiled and said
" why don’t you go to the back I see an empty desk next to that girl there".
All the girls let out disappointed groins as Edward made his way to the back and sat down next to Elena who was blushing crimson her heart was in flutters and she couldn’t look up but continued to stare at her page and tried hard to concentrate on her school it wasn’t easy she had never had anyone sit next to her before much less a boy !She knew she was just being silly "I mean" she argued with herself "what interest could this boy who is everything handsome and gorgeous want anything to do with me the ugly loner or the school I am sure if he had a choice to pick seats he would have chosen Rachel". With these discouraging thought to distract her she finished her school work without distractions and hurriedly left the room.

At lunch time she took her usual spot by the window and sat down to her quite lunch. Rachel and her buddies came in and sat around the largest table with a bunch of kids flocking about that table. "Like always" she thought.
Fred was still by that table but he looked more unhappy than ever.
"Why does he stay"? She thought "he should leave and go join his jock buddies I am sure he would be much more happy if he did"! Then she saw him come in.
The cafeteria went silent as they watched him take a few thing s from the counter.
All eyes followed him as he made his way to Elenas table !
She looked up with big shocked eyes as he said "mind if I sit hear everywhere else is full"! "Uhh sure sit if you want to". Said Elena not sure what she was to do.
He sat down across from her and smiled she blushed and looked at everyone else who stared at them.Then she said "you know I am not the most popular person to be around in fact I am the lowest in the school if you want to be teased or looked down on I am the person to come to you would do much better if you hug around Rachel and her friends".He turned to look at all the opened mouths and smiled "no I like to be with you there is just something about those other kids. They are to immature for me and Rachel and her friends are two stuck up for my liking.
Plus she dumped her boyfriend and I don’t like those kind of bully girls.
I prefer quit sensitive girls like you seem to be". "Wow you get around fast"!Said Elena.

"I like to get to know my headquarters before I live in them".
He said with a sly smile.

The bell rang and everyone got up to leave "will you be doing gym class"?
Elena asked "no I am not much for indoor sports I like outdoor stuff better".
"Really"! Said Elena "so do I" ! "Maybe we could join sometime". He said .
"That would be nice" she said "why don’t you give me your number and I can call you"?

He smiled and got out paper and pen handing it to her.
"Well see you" he said as he walked toward his car and soon was out of sight.
