Chapter Three
Rescue!
They came to a dark cave in which the prisoners were held in holes dug in the ground and heavy iron bars on top. They all stood around the hole and looked at Danfare waiting his command.
Still in wolf form he went up to the bars then with his teeth he griped the bars and heaved with a groin the bar came off and he pushed it to the side.
They all looked down the hole dark as pitched and the glowing forms of the three did not do much to the darkness.
“Now work your magic"!Said Amber to Jasper who understood right away.
Suddenly he began to glow brighter and brighter until they could not look at him anymore. Then when the light dimmed and you looked at him again he was no more a little fairy but a giant butterfly with hands almost as big as the cave.
Then he stuck his hand in the hole and brought back up a squirming figure of a man he placed him gently on the ground .
He looked up with a shocked expression on his face then stared in wonder as Jasper lit up again and shrunk back to his tiny size.
Then he looked at his rescuers and said in the same deep but now calm voice“I knew someone would come for me and I was right”!
“We must go” said Amber still translating “They will be back soon”.
The others all nodded in agreement and headed out towered the direction they had come from. Then suddenly there way was blocked by an army on deformed faces swords pointed straight at them !
Danfare who was in the lead and Grendle behind both growled .
The rescued man was as calm as could be staring at the army then walked to them and said in a surprisingly calm voice for one so deep ,"Turn back and go your master has set me free”.
All the while holding out his hand only inches away from one of the monsters heads.
Suddenly something strange happened all the monsters turned as if in a trance and marched back to their posts until the place was empty again.
Then he went on as if nothing had happened and the others stared at him for a few moments wondering.Tthen they to followed him out of the cave.
