A MERMAID STORY!
Prologue, I thought I was seeing things as I saw her hide it from me it looked like she had a fish tale…..
Chapter 1
My name is Allen I am 18 and have black wavy hair up to my shoulders brown almond eyes almost black straight noise sharp strong angled face broad shouldered and muscular! And of a tall stature!
I was just a normal boy trying to finish high school.
I already had a small job working with a few scientist friends working on sea Animals and studying their habits and natural surroundings and what they are made off!
I enjoyed my work and loved the ocean as well so I was able to gather samples of creatures to take with me as I swam I could hold my breath for quite some time but I always brought a snorkel if I was to stay under the water for more than an hour.
All in all I had a pretty normal life but I liked to be alone and never had many girl friends even though I was good looking by my friends standard, girls thought I was a weirdo and a geek who liked the company of the sea more than woman so I was alone most of the time.
Besides the girls at the school were not my type none of them seemed to enjoy the things I did! They enjoyed boys s, parties, dancing, and gossip!
But I enjoyed life with my five friends me making 6 and had no boring life, then one day something extraordinary happened to me that changed my life forever!
It was a Friday school was out and I was going for an evening swim I was not usually someone who swam at night but it was nice weather and I had nothing to see at the moment so I decided to go and look for more stuff to study!
I prepared to go in the water a small bag tied securely to a belt around my swimsuit! I took a deep breath a dived deep into the water down I went enjoying the surroundings and the fish and sea life!
As I looked around something caught my attention a point of a tale like a dolphins but it was scaly and an electric blue!
I blinked was my eyes being deceived when I looked again it was gone and there was a dolphin still a baby swimming about.
I shook my head and went deeper until I was at the bottom of the sea I began to collect samples of different coral and shells when I saw a flicker of blue disappear behind a rock it looked flowing like hair was.
I losing my mind I thought as I swam back up for air as I did I saw in a cave to large green eyes staring at me the eyes blinked then disappeared with a flash and the young dolphin swam by again!
I began to feel light headed as I swam out of the water was I going made was the ocean air making me see things I continued shaking my head as I went home!
That night I dreamed about what I had saw those green eyes so much like a fish but fish don’t blink I said to myself as I thought it could just be a fish I shook my head I am gong crazy I said as I finally went to sleep.
I woke up suddenly and decided to walk on the beach it was to early to go anywhere and it was still dark so nobody would be around and I needed to clear my head after what I had seen so I got up and went toward the beach.
I froze when I got to the entrance something or someone had jumped five feet out of the water and dove back in it looked like a person’s top but bottom looked like a dolphins tale and it was an electric blue!
I looked again and saw a Dolphin jump out of the water the same baby I had seen while swimming! My curiosity got the better of me and so I hurried down to the beach and dived in there was a splash and as the water cleared.
I saw a girl with ocean blue hair blue shells on her breasts tied on with pearls and had an electric blue tale like A fish she was swimming as fast as she could toward the cave the dolphin following close behind.
I was to startled to move all I could do was stare! I thought I was seeing things as I saw her hide she looked like she had a fish’s tale I caught a glimpse of her face sharp and angled with a small pointed noise and large lips and extremely large green eyes like a fish!
As she disappeared into the cave I gasped and said “my god did I just see a mermaid”!”It must be an allusion someone is playing tricks on me”!I said as I came out of the water.
As I dried myself of I looked out to the far end of the beach I saw someone sitting on the beach.
A young girl with blue hair up to her middle long and flowing she was in a white slip that looked like it had been in the water it socked to her skin making it almost see through she had nothing underneath just a skinny bikini bottom to cover her bottom she was sitting with her feet stretched out the sunrise shining on her blue hair made it sparkle electric blue!
“who is she?” I thought to myself I had never seen her hear before and she came out of nowhere!I decided to go and talk to her so I walked over to the spot where she sat and said “hello” !
She looked up reveling two large Green eyes as large as a fishes they seemed familiar !
She smiled a sweet smile and said in a voice that sounded like the flowing of water “hello”!”
Are you new hear”? I said “I have never seen you hear before or around town” !”
I just arrived yesterday “she said “I live close by the beach and I love the ocean”!”
So do I” !I said smiling “I can see “she said smiling again “my name is Areal by the way” !’
I am Allen”. I said
“Nice to meet you Allen
Do you come her often”?
“I come here every evening and early in the morning”! she said
“I come here every morning to “!”But you said you just arrived “I said ,
She frowned at her mistake and said” I will come here every morning I am a early riser and retire early”
I see I said “well it was nice meeting you Areal but I must go or I will be late for work”! “Do you have a job yet “?
“I work with the sea creatures “she said” I have my own store in my home”!
”Where is your home “?I said “maybe I could visit sometime I am fascinated by sea creature”.
She looked frighten “no’” she said startling me then composed herself and said “no I cannot let you into my home because there are some privet matters that will not let you in I am sorry if you don’t understand but it is private you see”’!
I was curious but shrugged “well goodbye then” I said
“Good day”! She said as I turned to leave!
She sat on the beach staring at the ocean and moving her mouth as if she was singing her voice flowed like a river over the ocean as she sang birds crabs and even dolphins came close as they could to her as she continued singing the creatures joined her song with all their different noises!
I watched amazed at what I saw the creature seemed to not fear her and seemed to like her even the crabs did not pinch her when she picked one up in her small delicate hand when she stopped singing all the creature disappeared.
She stood up and seemed to wobble a bit as if she had trouble standing she looked around and saw me she smiled and walked toward me and said
The Animals like my singing so I sing to them it makes us all happy”!
She fell forward losing her balance
I caught her and said are you alright she straitened looking embarrassed and said” just a bit clumsy”!”thank you for your help” she said “but I must be going I have very sensitive skin and cannot endure to much sunlight”!
With that she turned and walked down the beach until she took a bend in the dunes and was out of sight!
I went to the road and walked on it following her footsteps wanting to see where she lived and to understand why she freaked out I followed the footsteps for some time they stopped in the middle of nowhere and then turned toward the water and disappeared into it !
Now I was puzzled did she stop to swim again but she had said she was going home puzzled I turned to go I decided to wait for her since I had nothing else to do so I sat behind a large bolder and waited I kept on peaking I suddenly saw her face come up from under the water and besides her was the same baby dolphin she was floating on her stomach and what I saw made me almost faint for there at the place where her legs should be was a electric blue tale and she had on the same blue shells and pearls!
I gasped with shock this was no elision it was real she was a mermaid there was no doubt about it and she was trying to conceal it from me her home was the ocean and she could not take me there or I would find out she could sing to the Animals because she was part of them and at home with them as they were with her!
All I did was stare she started to the shore as she came to the shoreline the water began to swirl and it went all around her body when it was over she was with two legs and dressed in the white slip and panties it was her and she could come on land at will but it seemed to me that she was more at home in the water and on land she was unstable as she demonstrated by her wobbling as she came out of the water!
And she sat on the beach and stared out into the sea with a dreamy look on her face I was still to shocked to move so I just stood there staring speechless at her finally it became dark she stood up and dove into the water and jumped out again her electric blue tale shining in the moonlight! I finally moved and wanted to go back and tell my friends everything but I knew that they would think I was crazy because I felt like going crazy myself! I decided the way to prove it to them was by taking her to them myself I I knew just how to do it!
Chapter2
The next day I went to the beach hoping to catch her as she came out of the water but my hopes did not exhale for when I got there she was sitting on the beach singing her sweet song
“She could join an opera”! I thought as I listened to her singing I did not know what she said but the music and ton of her voice put me in a dreamy state it seemed to affect all the creature even her !
I walked up to her and said “hello again”!
She looked up and smiled “hello to you to” !
Then I said “do you mind if I sit next to you I would like some company today while I walk on the beach”!
She said “well you may sit her but I don’t think I could walk on the beach with you and I must be going back home”! “I’ll be her in the late afternoon to watch the sunset if you come then we can talk a bite longer”.
“That’s fine by me”! I said “when will you be hear” ?”around five”!
She said ,“come anytime around five thirty and I will be ready for you”!
And with that she got up and walked down the beach her blue hair flowing in the wind!
I followed her again to make sure what I saw yesterday was true I hide behind the same bolder and watched as she walked into the water once her feet touched the salt water the change began the water swirled her legs disappeared and she dove into the water and all I saw was the tip of her electric blue tale splashing out of the water.
After that I knew I was not dreaming and I continued thinking of ways to lure her into my home get her wet with salt water and show her to my friends.
I must admit I was a very cold heart ted person who cared only about the money and news it would make. We might even be able to sell her to an aquarium and then think of all the money we would make and the news it would make and we would get very rich!
The more I thought about it the more I liked the idea she just a sea creature I thought she hardly human I am sure she feels just like a fish!
I laughed at the idea and started to home and waited for five to come around when it did I dashed to the beach just catching her come out of the water as she changed her form and sat on the beach the baby dolphin followed until he could go no more she patted him on his head and chirped to him in a high pitched squeak the sound hurt my hears it sounded I thought very much like the sound waves of a dolphin that we picked up by sonar and it is just as high pitched it could shatter glass if any was close by!
That just made me more determined to carry out my plain she nothing more than a mutant animal I said to myself as I watched her sing and the animals came close to her.
I walked up to her and smiled she smiled and patted the sand with her slim hand and said “sit down the sunset is going to be beautiful tonight’!
I sat down and stared into the distance thinking hard I had to think of some way to tell her that I knew who she was and that I would like to know her better so I said in a voice that would not startle her “do you believe in mermaids”?
The question caught her of guard and she said “why do you ask a question like that”!
I noted a little panic in her voice I said “well I am interested in sea creatures and since mermaids are sea creatures I just want to know your thoughts before I believe something stupid”!
she laughed a clear watery laugh and said “it is very stupid indeed to believe in mythical creatures” !”
I guess your right”! I sighed ,
Then she said “why do you want my opinion you barely know me and already you are trusting me like a friend!”” I don’t even know if I can trust you”! She said her eyes narrowing “what is your purpose in these questions” ?”where is it leading to” ?
“No where’! I said the sun stated setting.
Suddenly she panicked but before she could move her legs began to swirl and there she sat with a tale shining in the moonlight she looked up at me her eyes filled with fear and then she tried to go toward the water but I caught her by the rests she screamed so loudly my ears popped but I wouldn’t let go she struggled wiping her tale in my face and bruising it with her scaly tale I said “it’s all right I am not going to hurt you I would never hurt you I am not that kind of person “!
She stopped squirming and said in a frightened voice” you won’t hand me over to the scientists then ‘!she said still frightened
“No”! I lied ,”I wont”.
She relaxed and said “I trust you” ! “ I hope you are telling the truth or you will be sorry”! she then said “please let me go I have to get back in the water before I dry up and dehydrated”! “I was so into talking to you that I lost track of time” !
I reluctantly let her go her skin was surprisingly smooth and soft like a babies face! I then watched as she flipped over to the water pulling with her hands and pushing with her tale until she got to the shore line she turned and looked at me with a cautious look on her face and disappeared into the water!”
Why did I let her get away “?I said to myself as I turned and headed toward home I knew she probably would not come out again she would probably leave and my plain would be ruined! I kicked a rock in my frustration and went back home!
Chapter3
(Through Areals eyes,)
I swam as fast as I could toward my cave Toby my baby dolphin was waiting for me he seemed to know what had happened so we hurried back to the cave as we went in I struggled to calm myself as soon as I was in the deepest part of my cave
I sat down on a coral chair and sighed.
Toby came up to me and said “how do you feel Areal”?
I looked at him and said “I am frightened”! “but also releaved”! “I didn’t expect him to let me go after he grabbed me but he did and he sounded so sweet and sincere I had no idea what his motives were and there is something else you know the longing that I told you about that was in my heart Toby nodded it just got stronger”! “I know what it is”!” I think I could be in love with him it sounds odd but I have the feeling and I can’t get rid of it”! “I wonder what he thinks of me though “?”maybe a freak of nature “!I sighed “why did he have to find out “?”I would have showed him myself if I knew he loved me and I could trust him”! “but now I have no idea what I will do nor he knows my hideout he saw me when he swam her the first day we met”!”Oh Toby”! I said covering my face with my hands” what shall I do”?
“Well” said Toby “if you have this longing in your heart that refuses to go away maybe you should find out if he feels the same way for you go to the beach at the same time and if he does not show up again then we can leave but if he does then stay and find out what his intentions are if they are what you hope they are then tell him how you feel about him if it is bad then flee as fast as you can and we will help with your escape”!
I liked the idea so I kissed Toby on the head and went to bed.
The next morning just before the sun rose I went to the beach to make my change he was not there but it was a bit early I came out and sat on the sand watching the waves crash onto the shore and stared out into the sea then I began singing slowly and the seagulls and crabs and other sea creatures came to hear my song!
Suddenly I heard That familiar voice saying “I didn’t expect you to be hear” !
I looked up and saw that it was Allen with a surprised look on his face I shifted uncomfortably and said “well it has become a routine to come to this beach it is something I must do in order to keep healthy”!
“I see”! he said.
Then I said ,“yesterday did I freak you out “?
“Not really” he said “I knew who you were already before that” !
”You did”! I said in surprise
“Yes’. he said” and it is not freaky I find it fascinating to know that creature like you exist”!
I smiled “so you think me as just another sea creature that you want to study” ?
“No not really” he said “I acutely have enjoyed your company”!
“Really”! I said trying not to show my happiness “so do you want my company again”? I said patting the sand as if to say come sit next to me I enjoy your company more than you think? Then I said aloud no human has ever been this kind to me not that I have met many I said with a sheepish smile but I have gone into the city once just to see how it was out of curiosity and well everyone was unkind and stared at me as if I was some kind of freak! I never went to the city again and it was much too noisy so I stayed in the country and the ocean!
Allen nodded and said I don’t like the city that much ether!
I smiled at him we don’t have much different tastes do we ?
No we don’t he said smiling!
How old are you Allen? I asked 18 he said and you how old are you? 17.
He said oh you did strike me as young but I thought you would at least be 18!
Well I said you were close enough!
Yes he said I was! Then he said so where did you come from are there more like you and why are you hear alone and so close were people might see you!
I said it really wasn’t my choice you see the evil sea witch Ursula cast a spell that sent me fare away from the kingdom of Palencare that is where the creatures of fairy tales live she sent me into a swirling pool and I ended up her on this beach so I made myself at home adopted Toby my baby dolphin and lived her ever since!
There is one way for me to get back but she did not tell me what it was so I am stuck her hoping that I will one day be able to return to home where my father mother and brother all think I am dead!
That is sad he said I am sorry for you .
I looked up at him there was something in his eyes a sincerity I had never seen in them before tears welled up in my eyes then I t up and said I must go it was nice to talk to you and with that I hurried back into the ocean!
Chapter4
(Though Allens eyes !)
I sat on the beach watching her leave her story had touched a part of my heart that I thought had turned to stone I felt strange I felt sorry for her and most of all I felt love for her it clicked I was not coming back her to try to catch her I came back because I wanted to see her again I was falling in love with her!
But now I had a problem I had told my buddies about her and to my surprise they believed me and told me to bring her to them then I agreed but know I knew I couldn’t do it and if I didn’t do it then they might come themselves and take her and heaven only knows what they would do to her I had to warn her but I knew she would hate me after that and my love for her would be in vain but I had to tell her even if she hated me and fled I would be happy knowing she was safe so I would tell her to night before she came out of the water!
I waited my heart beating faster! Then as I walked on the beach I saw her prepare to come out I waved at her
she smiled and called me over I came over and said there is something I must tell you I said she smiled and said and what is that?
I have come here to kidnap you I said without emotion because I did not know how I felt at the moment.
Her eyes widened in frightened anger I should have known she said all that sweet talk just to get me to trust you I was a fool who thought I had found love it was all a trick and with that she dove and swam like a bullet into the deep water
I made no attempt to follow her! I just stared at the water and then turned and walked away !The next few days I sulked in my house and did not go near the beach for fear of remembering those sweet times and afraid of going mad! My friends could not understand what happened to me I was turning into a hermit and had lost all internist in the ocean and they could not understand a word I said I wondered where she had gone and hoped she had got away!
Chapter5
(Through Areals eyes)
I swam long and hard away from the beach and my past Toby caught up with me and we swam into the ocean far far away from the beach never wanting to go back I should have known but I was to full of love to doubt him and now my heart was broken they were all the same thought I was a freak and were only interested in studying me of putting me on display in front of people like a piece of expensive property tears streamed down my face as I swam and as I cried I swam faster not knowing where I was going but determined to get far away from the beach as passable soon Toby and I were deep and far into the ocean!
Then suddenly I heard a screech I turned to see Toby caught in a large glass case which was being pulled up I held on with all my might but could not hold we were in the air I started to slip then I felt something sharp in my back I looked up to see a man with a gun and I knew I had been caught as I faded into sleepiness!
I woke up to find myself in a large glass tank in a white room there were lots of people dressed in white with masks staring at me I lowered my gaze and slumped to the bottom of the tank I was going to be studied as a science experiment !
Allen’s friends must have found me I said to myself as I thought about all he had said he must have sent them out to look for me and now they have me well I won’t satisfy them I will just sit here and do nothing and with that I sat In the corner and crossed my arms and sneered at the masked men they looked at me for a moment then shrugged and left soon I was alone and as soon as I was I slumped my head to my breast covered my face with my thick blue hair and began crying uncontrollably soon I stopped and just sat in that position as still as a statue! I sat like that for some time oblivious to all and everyone! Suddenly I looked up there was some kind of noise on top of the tank what know I thought are they going to take me and examine me on a table I shivered ! Soon the lid was open and someone jumped in he was in a wet suit and wore a mask so I could not see his face so I squirmed as he took my arm and swam with me up to the surface then he carried me down a ladder and dried me with a towel until I was dry then I was with two legs again and stared at the man as he handed me a pair of scientist close and a mask I put then on without a word he did the same as he toke of his mask I saw that it was Allen! I could not speak a lump came to my throat as I saw that he was rescuing me! Why I thought as we left the building together outside there was a boat and in the water was Toby I started to cry he was safe Allen led me to the boat got in helped me in and started the engine then dashed out into the water Toby swimming next to us!
Chapter6
We traveled on until it was dark I changed but stayed in the boat as I wanted to talk to Allen and the boat was wet enough to keep me from dehydrating!
I put a blanket over my tale and wore one of Allen’s sweaters so if any one saw they would think of me as a normal person and not look twice! I sat staring at Allen as he seated himself opposite of me and stopped the engine then I said why did you rescue me Allen when you were the one who was going to kidnap me!
So he began his story when I first saw you change I thought I was seeing things then when I saw you change again and all the strange things you did I was sure you were real I wanted to make money with you at first I just thought of you as another sea creature to study then when you changed in front of me I was worried that my plain was ruined and you would not come back well when I came back and saw you there sitting and singing as you always did I was surprised but also happy to see you I could not understand my feeling until you told me your story then when you started to cry I felt something deep down it was love compassion and caring all mixed together I knew I could not do it anymore but I had already told my friends about you and they wanted you so I told you wait I was intending to do but before I could explain more you swam away and I went home feeling lost and alone and miserable I spent the last few days hoping that you got away then when one of my friends told me that they had caught a mermaid I panicked and came over to the laboratory I got Toby out first let him go then I went for you and well you know from there!
I sat very still as I listened to what Allen had said he had feeling for me I thought I never would have guessed me of all creatures I was touched and happy as well I also have strange feeling for you I said and I am sure love has something to do with it.
He looked at me and said in a soft voice I love you.
I love you to I said tears streaming down my cheeks!
He came over to me and sat down next to me then we involuntary touched each other’s lips and kissed! A sudden burst of light went through me and suddenly I found myself in a small wooded forest with a lake that looked so familiar I thought I was dreaming I was holding Allen
He let go and gasped what happened?
The spell is broken I said and this is Palencare and that stream go’s deep underground to the Mer kingdom!
Chapter7
(Through Allen’s eyes)
I looked about the forest was magical and beautiful with trees that seemed alive birds that sang sweet songs and flowers that danced.
From behind the trees stealthy and sly as a cat creeping from tree to tree was a tale woman with pointed ears dressed in a straw colored dress with leaves and smelt of the forest!
She was very beautiful with eyes like a cat dark green in color red small lips and a angled sharp face with long straw colored hair up to her feet which were bare and wore a crown of flowers and leaves on her head with a sharp pointed nose and a slim thin body!
She said in a musical voice who go’s there who has entered the forest without my permission
Areal spoke first , forest queen I am Areal the King Orubans daughter I have been freed from my enchant meant with love and this is the man who has helped me break the spell!
The forest queen was silent then she said welcome back I am glad you have finally broken the witches evil spell I am sorry but I did not recognize you but tell me how you are going to get to Mer kingdom with him he is human and cannot stay under water that long!
I was hoping forest queen said Areal that you would bless him with the gift of deep breathing!
I will gladly said forest queen and she appeared in front of me without moving from the tree. She said relax in a voice that was soothing enough to put you to sleep.
Then she put both hands on the sides of my neck and started chanting in a strange and foreign language something moved in my throat and I felt my lungs expand involuntary it went on like this each second my lungs would expand and my chest would swell with each expansion it was over soon.
The forest queen stepped back and said you have been given the gift of deep breathing with it you can stay under water for a long period of time without coming up for air you will need it if you are to go to the Mer kingdom with Princess Areal and with that she faded out of sight!
I stood there dazed and staring out into the distance then I turned to Areal and said you’re a princess?
She came over to me and said I would have told you sooner but so much more was on my mind and when I told you my story I did not quite know if I could trust you yet so I kept that bite of information to myself but I can trust you now and even though you’re not royal I am sure my father would ignore that because you helped break the spell and saved my life.
Then she said but before we go anywhere we need to get you proper cloths for this habitat and I know just where to go.
I am sure that the forest queen has told all the forest elves and the five guardians to the gate of Glaser city so I am sure you will be welcome and they can give you closes that are coated with magic that will keep them from dirt wind rain and water so you will not have wet cloths even the water hear is magical and will not get your close wet !
Which way? I asked.
Follow me she said she was in human form it was early in the morning so she was dressed in her white slip and panties and was barefoot I was dressed in jeans shoes and socks and tee shirt and felt right out of place but I followed as she walked into the forest soon coming to a large line of tree five thick oaks with gaps large enough for a man to pass through! Areal went forward and said "five guardians of Glaser city it is I Areal princess of Mer kingdom with Allen who broke my spell do we have permission to pass"!
There was silence for a moment then a slight breeze then in between each tree appeared five long silver haired men who looked all the same sharp long faces sharp pointed nose angled cats eyes all of gray they all were tall and slim and held carved stave’s and were all dressed in brilliant green robes! They all looked in our direction and said in musical voices "you may enter princess Areal and Allen spell breaker you are welcome in are city the Forest queen has told us about you and queen Lanzardie is waiting to greet you"! And with that they vanished!
Come said Areal we have been granted passage we walked through the trees to find ourselves in a forest full of singing and laughing the trees seemed to dance and be alive houses were trees and the elves seemed to have grown with the forest using its resources to live at the center of the forest was a large towering oak and standing next to it was a woman surrounded by silver haired elves who all looked very much like the five guardians.
The woman was tall thin and kind looking with an angled face blue cat eye and angled eye brows a small nose pointed ears and small pink lips she wore a green opal dress with a green opal studded belt she had a dark green cape that reached to her feet with a large opal broach to hold it in place her hair was corn colored with a silver band on her head studied with tiny green opals that glittered in the light.
She looked very feline and graceful and walked just as graceful as her body and said in the musical voice that all the elves had
Wellcome back princess Areal and Allen spell breaker we are glad to see you both now I think the young man is in need of some magical close am I right well we have just the thing for him and with that they brought over a pair of cloth pants a cloth tunic with a leather belt all brown in color and black boots I put them all on thanked the elves then Areal said "we shall invade your hospitality no longer and I want to get home quickly to my family so we must be going.
Thank you for the food and clothing" I said.
We are very grateful the queen said we are grateful to you Allen without you Areal might never have gotten back !I did not even know that was the way to break the spell nether did Areal !love said the queen is a very powerful weapon it can work wonders as you have seen go now and may God be with you!
Chapter 8
We started toward the lake me following behind Areal she dove in the water the water swirl and she popes her head up a few minutes later and said come on it great it won’t hurt you.
I went over to the water and dove in it was surprisingly warm I was surprised that I could breath properly as we dove under I saw how clear the water was and to my surprise saw Toby I looked at her questioningly and she held up a hand as a sign to wait so I did we soon came to a hollow cave at the bottom of the lake she went in and I followed to my surprise I found the cave dry and breathable.
She sat lay down on her stomach and said when I was transported back I held my consensus with Toby’s so he came back with me as you did!
I nodded then said this place is where?
It my hideout she said it is where I used to go when I was still living here!
I see I said and how is it that it is dry hear I said she smiled and said mermaids have certain magical talents the water we are swimming is enchanted by mermaid singing it keep caves dry and it keeps are castles dry to but it is still under the sea!
That is interesting and amazing I said so are going to continue I said yes we will she said standing up just follow me and so we went on passing by fish dolphins seals and whales!
Soon we came deep into a colorful coral reef and behind the reef was a castle made of shells and colorful coral and peals with mother of pearl for walls it was colorful and beautiful swimming in and out were Mermaids and Mermen!
I stared in wonder then looked at Areal who said come with me she went up the coral path and came to the shell gates there was two muscular Mermen with spears guarding the gates they looked at areal and gasped is that you your majesty they said shock on their faces! It is indeed me said Areal the spell has been broken by true loves kiss and this is the man who has broken it he comes from the planet of men and has broken the spell for me as well as save my life!
The two Mermen looked at me with respect then said "you are most welcome hear young man you father will be most delighted to know you are back go to him at once and with that they opened the gates to us!
The inside of the castle was just as beautiful as the outside it was a mother of pearl floor with light flickering off the wall shining different color and shadows on the floor and the Mermaids and Mermen who swam by reflecting light on their tales making them glow and shine they all stood still and gasped when they saw Areal they froze in there spot with mouths opened then I heard a deep male voice say what is going on her then he to froze when he saw Areal finally he said in a small voice is that you Areal?
It is Alchetlam the spell was broken by true loves kiss and he has broken it for me she said pointing to me
!He came up to me and said I am in your debt sir you have brought my sister back safe and have broken the evil witches spell!
So this was her brother I studied him as I nodded my acceptance he was strong very muscular had black hair up to his shoulders Green eyes just like her the same largeness his mouth was strong and masculine his tale was of an electric green! His face in his nose resembled Areal as did his clean cut face and looked about!
I said thank you for your kindness Prince Alchetlan !
Please he said just call me Alchetlan I will be happy to call you my brother!
I smiled thank you Achetlan you are very kind he waved his and as if in acceptance then he turned to all the people and said rejoice for princess Areal has returned along with the man who broke the spell by love rejoice for she has returned safely!
A cheer rose from the crowed as he turned to his sister and said
let us not keep father waiting and motioned me to follow as well I walked down the hall while they swam they soon came to a large gate made out of coral and mother of pearl guarded by two muscular guards who showed the same surprise we explained to them as fast as we could they smiled slightly and then opened the gate Areal asked me to wait a moment while she went to prepare her father so I waited and watched as they swam up to the throne room all the nobles of the Mer kings court gasping as she passed by as she approached the shining thrown a old gray long bearded merman who still looked very handsome and strong stood up he wore a large gold crown on his head he had green eyes and was a older version of his son as soon as he saw Areal he started gasping and saying her name over and over again while she ran into his arms crying and laughing finally she let go he said something and she started explaining and then pointed in my direction the king looked my way and said in a booming voice
Come forth Allen spell breaker let me see the man who has freed and saved my daughter!
I walked toward the throne and stood at the foot of it and bowed your majesty I said slowly! Rise said the king I am grateful to you young man for bringing my daughter back as we all are he said and all the nobles in the court nodded!
So said the king in the honor of you and the return of my daughter I propose a feast in your honor!
The hall cheered and the king said let the preparations for the feast begin!
The feast was amazing the table consisted of coral legs and the top was a smoothed out mother of pearl top the food was all sorts of sea creature and plants!
The king sat at the end of the table Areal and Alchetlam sat on either side of him I sat next to Areal and was enjoying myself immensely the drink was mostly carbonated purified water but some drank salt water the party went well on into the night soon the hall began to empty until just the king the prince princess and I were left the king said it has been a long day we should all get some sleep so we all went our separate ways I had a room next to Areals and soon I was in a deep sleep !
I woke to the sound of shattering glass and screaming I ran to her room only to find a broken bed and two large holes in the mother of pearl walls which was pointed up like a large shark tale there were two marks like it and on the sides of the hole were two pointed ones like fines! By this time others had joined me finally
Alchetlam said to the king who was standing shock on his face the witch must have kidnapped her again and I don’t think she carried her away this time!
This time she sent fang and jaws to take her and heaven knows where they have taken her!
The king said we must meet with the elves they know everything about the evil witch so they might be able to tell us where she has taken her!
Yes said Alchetlam we must see the elves they are the wisest creatures of Palencare I will take Allen with me and we will go to Glaser city I am sure the forest queen has heard the whispers in the wind and water and knows about it already and has told queen Lanzardie about it!
The kings nodded right go my son and Allen be careful in the mean time I will gather troops to fight against the witch and her evil forces! All that time I was silent she had been captured the moment she got back this witch who ever she was must really want her out of the way and I wanted to do all I could to help forgetting that I knew nothing about fighting or even how to handle a sword or bow! So Alchetlem and I left Mer kingdom back to Glaser city to speak with the elves!
Chapter9
We arrived back at the place where Areal and I first arrived when we came we got out and Alchetlem made his change turning into a muscular tall man with a tunic like mine but black and also black pants and brown boots around his waist was a brown belt with a sword sheathed in black leather with ruins carved on the leather the sword handle was of a black color covered in small green stones and at the top a large oval Green stone!
We stood there waiting then we saw on the tree the forest queen fading into sight when she was properly visible she said I have heard news of your sister and I have told it to the elves they have agreed to meet with you the five elders are waiting for you at the gates and the queen and her elders and son wait for you!
And with that she disappeared! Alchetlem walked into the forest I followed until we came to the five oaks of Glaser city the five elders appeared and said please enter Alchetlem son of Oruban and Allen spell breaker !and with that they vanished! We walked through the gates and stood next to each other as the queen approached us she was dressed in the same green as when I first saw her and all around her were elders they nodded to us and the queen spoke and said we have heard the news of your sister and we know why you have come to us we will be glad to help you but tell me Allen spell breaker how much do you know about fighting have you ever handled a sword before!
No your majesty I said where I come from there is no need for swords and we do not use them when we fight but I have never fought before and know nothing of warfare!
None of the elves looked surprised and if they were it did not show on their faces then the queen said well then we will have to start from the beginning we shall teach you how to wield a sword and bow and fight to defend yourself Alchetlem has already passed the test and has revived his Elvin sword as a reward you will receive the same if you pass.
Alchetlem smiled proudly.
I said I guess I have no choice but to learn and I promise I will do all I can to help and do my best to learn what I need to !
The queen nodded we can only do are best and that is usually enough you will start your lessons immediately !
Orumus she said in a loud but soft voice.
A young elf who looked no older than 19 with blond hair up to his middle done in many braids sharp pointed nose and gray green eyes in the shape and angled like a cats his face was smooth and strong and he was tall one inch taller than me and I was pretty tall in the human standerd but he was towering over me he seemed kind and smiled at me he wore a dark blue tunic of silk and dark blue pants with a black hooded cape held in place by a blue stone around his waist he had a black blue gem studied belt with a sword sheathed in dark blue leather with carved runs on it the handle was long and black covered with blue stones and at the top a large oval blue stone! Then he said I am Orumus Queen Lanzardies son and I will be teaching you your swordsmanship and you will soon meet my sister who will teach you archery!
It will be an honor to learn under you I said !he smiled and said come follow me he said I bowed to the queen and the elders and followed Orumus into deserted part of the forest it seems like the trees had grow around leaving a round sparing field!
And to the far end of the field was a archery field with many elves mostly woman practicing! I asked Orumus why only woman were practicing archery!
He said most woman her prefer a bow over a sword but some do both but that is rare you are different you are a man!
Elves have magic and one weapon you have no magic so you will need two weapons!
I see I said.
I will see that you do said Orumus know shall we begin!
Yes lets I said so we began the first lesson was how to hold a sword properly we used wooden swords for practice but they were just as heavy as real ones and I was full of aches and bruises when practice was over he looked at me and said well this going to take a while you look like you have never seen or wielded a sword in your life
I haven’t I said well then he said we must start with teaching you how to hold a sword properly he handed me a wooden sword and said now you hold one hand hear and the other hear then you swing.
He went through my lessons like that teaching me to hold with one hand block and advance it went on like this for a few days until he was satisfied that I could hold a sword properly then we went back to sparing I started slow and every evening my arm muscles ached as did ever other bone in my body from blows but I continued without complaint and soon I became stronger and could fight longer but I never seemed to be able to defeat the swiftness of Orumus !
In the meantime Alchelam was preparing an army with the elf captain Delheart together they gathered as many elf warrior as they could and Delheart put Achetlem second in charge together they recruited and trained elves for the battle ahead!
I in the meantime continued my training with Orumus and slowly became better and stronger until we began sparing with real swords blunted with magic!
Slowly but surely I got better and better until I could block an attacker and once even pined Orumus to the ground he was empressed with me and said you have done well Allen you have exceeded in the art of swordsmanship and have passed there is nothing more I can teach you about swordsmanship your lessons from now to the end of the month before you leave will be spent with Natalie at e archery fields but that will begin tomorrow the beginning of the next month!
One whole month had gone by at the elf kingdom the whole time there I had been practicing sparing all day and always I thought of Areal wondering if she was alright and if the witch had hurt her these thought were on my mind almost every night I could tell Alchetlem was worried to although he never said it out loud it was written all over his face! I tried to forget my worn by concentrating on my lessons but it would never totally leave my mind! So I went to bed troubled as always! The next morning I walked to the sparing grounds with Orumus we passed them and went to the archery field the woman stopped a moment to stare they were all beautiful and fair! They then turned and continued their practice suddenly from behind I heard a musical voice very much like queen Lanzardie say you have come for practice I see I turned around to see a young woman of 19 who looked exactly like Orumus but much more feminine I stared at them and said are you twins yes said Orumus smiling this is Natalie your new teacher she smiled and said pleased to meet you Allen spell breaker and I am pleased to meet you princess Natalie I said I took a moment to study her
she had long thick blond hair to her feet done in a thick braid her feature were angled like a cats and had a sharp nose and gray green eyes and a sharp smooth angled face she was dressed in black tight leggings and a black tunic defiantly men’s cloths I thought .
Over her back was a quiver with swain feather arrows and in her hand was a long bow decorated with runs and elfish writing all the woman who were practicing were dressed like her
I looked and said it must be more convenient to wear pants then a dress
yes it is much more convenient she said then she took my hand and said
shall we begin yes let us begin I said she nodded to Orumus and turned toward the archery field Orumus waved at me as I left with Natalie and began my lesson at archery !
My first lesson was to learn how to hold a bow properly then pull and aim it was not as hard as I thought because my arms were already strengthened by swordplay but my aim was bad and I was very slow at getting arrows so it still took two weeks for me to get a bulls eye and two more weeks for me to pull arrows out fast enough to match the speed of the elves which I was always behind although I was fast I would never be as fast as an elf with their inhuman strength and speed plus all there other abilities it seemed whatever athletic abilities people had elves had it tripled five times or more! But I was in better shape than I had ever been in and could fight and shoot arrows long distances without tiring fast!
Soon the month was over I was ready I could defend myself I could sword fight shoot a bow and was stronger and wiser the time for my reward was at hand I would receive one of the elves magical swords that would never fail the owner and from the Princess I would receive a bow and arrows that would never miss the target and the arrows would never run out! The ceremony was at hand I was dressed in fine close of the elves and walked to the table were the queen the princess and the prince stood!
I came and knelt on my knees rise said the queen I did then she said we have goatherd her to day to present you with your reward for passing your practice seldom has one of non magical being ever past the test and seldom has been to excel in more than one weapon but you have done both and have seceded so you are worthy of the reward and with that she picked up a long canvas raped long thing she gave it to Orumus and said Orumus will present you with your gift and with those words Orumus unwrapped the canvas to revel a sword sheathed in black leather with runs carved on the leather the hilt was black covered in red stones and on the top was a polished red stone Orrumus handed the sword to me it was extremely light I unsheathed it to revel shinny red steel!
Then he took another package and gave it to me I opened it to see a black leather belt with red stones around it!
Thank you I said I will treasure it till the day I die! That seemed to satisfy them they smiled and said we are glad you are pleased next it was Natalie’s turn to give the gift she was dressed in a gold dress and her blond hair was flowing down her back in many tiny braids she handed me a package and said this is your gift for excelling in archery unwrapped it to find a bow painted red with a quiver with arrows the quiver was leather and dyed red the arrows were of wood dyed red and the feathers were also red !I thanked Natalie in the same way I thanked the queen and prince they all said your well come and you earned it after all this a meeting is to be held to discuss what to do about rescuing the princess .
So Alchetlem and I went to the tent were Lanzardie and the elders the captain plus her son and daughter were waiting!
We both bowed and sat down Lanzardie spook first you all know the reason we are goatherd the young princess of King Oruban has been kidnapped again just as soon as she came back the witch must be stopped !
We have goatherd an army her but we need more reinforcements all the mermen have agreed to fight but the witch has many magical creatures on her side orks gobblins urgals and dragons just to name a few we need help and so as spokesmen I am sending Alchetlem Allen and Orumus to the dwarfs the griffins the fairies and the centures plus the animals of the forest!
In the meantime Captain Dellheart will take his army to the river and meet with captain Red beard the Mer captain with his troops then they will march to the round table and wait for more troops of the dwarfs griffins fairies and centures and forest animals and then we shall march onto the witches castle and destroy her and rescue the princess
Yes we shall go said Orumus,
Alchetlam and I nodded
good said Queen Lanzardie then we should go at once captain dose Captain Red Beard know of your coming?
He does my lady said the captain in his soft voice the whispers in the water have sent a message to him they are waiting for us then keep them waiting no longer said the queen Captain Dellheart saluted the queen and left to go to his troops!
Then she turned to us and said you should go before it is too late yes we will leave immediately said Orumus and said come Alchetlem and Allen we must prepare to leave!
There were three horses waiting for us we had all changed into traveling apparel with black hooded cloaks and each horse had food enough to sustain each of us for a month
!We each got on our horses and hurried out into the deep woods !
Book 2
Story so far,
Allen is a normal boy who suddenly meets a mermaid after talking with her and finding out that she was sent hear by the evil which Ursala and that there is only one way to break the spell and after rescuing her from certain death the spell is broken by true loves kiss they find themselves back in Palencare the place where she was born they go back to her home and are happy welcomed back but the witch kidnaps her again and so Allen go’s with her brother Alchetlem go to the elf city and there Allen learn swordsmanship from Orumus the queens son and together the three of them set off to gather Allies to defeat the witch and rescue the princess!
Chapter1
We stopped at the small lake were we first arrived and made camp for the night we had a quick meal then sat around the fire then I said Orumus can I ask a few questions ?
Please do was his answer I said who is this witch that I hear so much about?
Orumus frowned and said she is the most dangerous creature alive she is not human and live mostly in the water she is no earthly creature and the only way to kill her is to stab her threw the heart with an elf blade that is the only thing that can Pearce her stone heart!
What is she? I asked
She is said Alchetlem answering the question a sea monster but she can turn into any form weather a beautiful woman to lure men into her clutches or a sea serpent to frighten others to obey her she can also turn into a handsome man to lure woman into her clutches!
Why does she want Areal so badly out of the way I asked
Because said Orumus she wants to be ruler over the sea and Areal and Alchetlem are in her way she is using her as bate so her brother will come after her and then she will killed them both that is why we did not send him to the castle directly because that would be like walking into a death trap if we do it like this the witch will have no idea of our plains to sabotage her castle does she have one on land I said surprised I thought you said she was a sea witch!
She is said Orumus but remember she can change form and she is on land now gathering a large army together and none of those creatures are sea creatures!
I see I said so we are going to ask for help from good magical creatures am I right?
You are said Orumus and I am sure we will have no trouble with persuading them to fight the dwarfs are Allies with the Mer king and the dwarf king Orik loves Areal like a daughter so he will help I am sure the griffins will fight they have a great hatred against the witch so they will be happy to fight with us the centeres are our Allies and will fight with us they also are Allies with the mer king so they will fight with him! The fairies are essay to persuade Areal is like family to them and they love her dearly the fairy queen popiea loves her like a sister and so will be more than happy to help they also hate the witch!
So there will be no problem in getting them to fight I said
No said Alchetlem and Orumus together there won’t!
Good I said this makes are job much easier.
It does indeed said Orumus know we should all sleep we have a long journey ahead of us today so we went to bed with Orumus keeping watch !
The next morning after we ate breakfast we began our journey to the dwarf city in the mountains of the doubled peaks! It would take us a week to get there so we started of traveling most of the day stopping only once to refresh ourselves then we continued traveling until dark then we made our fire and Orumus went hunting and soon came back with a doe he said it was almost dead and that why he killed it although he would not eat any of it himself after that they told me more about the dwarfs and how to act with them soon we were asleep the next few days went by like this and soon we arrived at the doubled peaks were the dwarfs lived we came to the center of the twin peaks and Orumus went up to the middle knocked three times than three times again with a space of a minuet between each knock suddenly the middle of the cave shifted and gave way and slide to the side reveling a long tunnel and guarding the tunnel were two black bearded dwarfs carrying large spears.
Orumus said we have come to see King Orik it is most urgent tell him that Prince Alchetlam of the Mermen is hr to see him on business concerning his sister Areal!
The two dwarfs grunted and turned and marched into the cave then a few minutes later they came back and said in deep voices king Orick says to bring you to him immediately! We followed the two dwarfs into a long dark tunnel all along the tunnel walls were torches which gave the cave a eerie yellow glow we followed and stopped at a dead end the dwarfs said some word that I did not understand and the door opened as if by magic they walked in and we followed at the end of the room was a stone black throne with a old dwarf sitting on it his gray beard reached to his feet and he had many lines and wrinkles in his face he wore a large gold crown and held a large gold scepter and had a gold chain on his neck and was dressed in long purple robes with a gold colored cape we came before the throne and bowed then the King said rise all three of you and tell me what urgent business you have come to discuss. So Alchetlem told the king the story about how Areal had come back and how the spell had been broken and how the witch had taken her again and that now they needed his help to fight against the witch and get his sister back! There was a short silence then the king said of course we will help fight it is terrible what the witch has done and she shall suffer for it! With that he yelled Captain! And suddenly the door opened and a blurry black bearded dwarf came into the room the King said Captain Ugley ready your army to march to the round table we have a battle to help wine against the evil which march there and you shall there receive further instructions from the seven elders of the good magical creatures the dwarfs bowed and turned and left the room the king then looked at us and said I hope your sister is well and that no evil has befallen her we all hope so said Orumus but we must be on our way we still have more Allies to get to ! The king nodded then Godspeed to all of you we bowed and then left the cave to our next destination!
Chapter 2
Who are the seven elders? I asked as we continued traveling.
The seven elders said Orumus are one each of all the good fairytale creature who live together deep in the forest they are the ones who know all and speak for each group when the king cannot come which is the safest thing to do they are the most wise and learned of each of our race and they are the ones who brought each of our races together they listen to the whispers and know about things before they happen so we go there for their wisdom and foresight and they will ride with each captain of are race and direct each one in the best way to fight! What are their names I asked you may call them the seven elders but if you happen to meet them alone then these are the names you address them by the Elvin elder is called Arumus elder, the Dwarf elder is called Balike the elder, the Centure elder is called Orion elder, the fairy elder is called Feana the elder, and the animal leader is called Leo the elder and the Griffin elder is called Rean the elder and the Mer elder is called Domimik the elder !Those are all very noble names I said is Feana elder a female? Yes and the only one which she is proud of she is very wise and old as are all the elders so you must speak with respect and dignity to them! I understand I said and then I said who do we go to next we go to the Griffin King Loetex said Orumus and there was silence after that! To get to the griffins hideout we had to pass through a vast desert to get to the straight cliffs were they lived it was a hard journey boiling during the day and freezing at night Alchetlam seemed to have it the worst he was shriveled and dried with cracked skin he was after all a sea creature and this desert had absolutely no water! Orumus seemed to be able to adapt to any weather and went through the whole desert without any problem I was dry and dehydrated and could hardly walk Orumus had to help us both by giving us some of his strength by magic which helped a little but we were all glad when we saw the cliffs we started running and as soon as we got there Orumus sent a message threw telepathy to the two large griffins standing guard at the mouth of the cave they flew down and said we have related your message to the king he is willing to help but cannot see you at the moment but he is sending Orix the captain of the griffin army to the round table this moment so all is in order and you may go!
Orumus bowed and said thank you and give my thanks to the king as well with that we all turned and went back into the desert toward the forest of magical creatures were we would tell them of are plight and they would send their army to aid us!
Chapter3
We entered into the forest which was very siren and peaceful with birds twittering and chirping and the whole forest was lighted up with a sparkling light the grass was of the deepest green the trees were beautiful and tall and reached toward the sky there were flowers everywhere and it gave color to the forest there was the noise of a small stream going by Orumus went first we followed him and followed the stream for a while until it split into two directions to the left was a tree a oak strong and wide to the right was a pine tall and straight they were guarding a forest covered in trees that stared from the end of the river and went deeper and deeper in it looked like the most gloomy sad place I had ever seen but Orumus seemed to think differently he went up to the forest entrance and spoke to it saying great forest we have come for a meeting with the inhabitants it is important that we meet the chiefs of each tribe our life depends on it having said that he stepped away from the forest and waited suddenly I heard the sound of rustling leaves and looked into the forest from it came a man’s head he was unnaturally tale and had ears like a horse his hair was black and done in many braids his skin was a olive tone and had a brilliant set of white teeth and brilliant black eyes as large as a horses then he came out and I saw that from the waist down was a horses body and he was carry a sword unshed around his waist behind him stood two more like him dark skinned long braided dark hair and bright eyes they all had these feature but did not look alike from the other side of the forest came a stream of color in the air when it stopped I saw little people as small as a butterfly or a little larger and they all had colorful wings in the front stood a fairy with blond hair to her middle with shining blue eyes and little pink lips and rosy cheeks and was wearing a long yellow dress with whites yellow slippers and wore a slim silver crown with flowers engraved in it with red and blue gems in it behind her were seven guards all black haired and strong looking all carrying small spears and swords they were all shining with magical light! From the other side of the oak tree came a lion with a golden main and eyes and he was larger than any lion I had ever seen before he stood alone! The center spook first and said welcome to the forest Orumus you are most welcome hear as are you Alchetlem but who is this man we know nothing of him so Orumus said if you would all listen I shall tell you all the lion said in a deep rumbling voice speak Orumus we are most interested to hear your story So he told it as it happened when he finished he asked so will you help us fight against the evil witch? The lion spoke first I Alsilion who speaks for the entire animal kingdom say we will fight against the witch at all cost to bring peace back to the earth! Then the Centure spoke I Orase king of Centers say my people will fight against the witch we will happily fight alongside the elves and mermen and even this human who is the spell breaker and the one to kill the witch with his blade for I have read in the stares that the one to kill the witch will be a spell breaker of true love and human! I stared at him in Amazement but before I could say anything the fairy queen spoke I Popiea queen and spokes person of the fairies say we shall fight with you and rescue the princess and free the land of the witches evil !With that Alsilion roared so loudly the forest shook then from behind Him came a large grizzly bear that bowed before all then said yes my king what is your orders my king! Gather your army and march to the round table to wait instruction there bring the hole army! Yes sir said the bear and marched away! Next the centers turned to one of his Guards and said go tell Captain Spot to get the army marching to the round table to await orders! The Center saluted him and dashed into the forest! Then the fairy queen said to the guard closest to her go to Captain Feneral and tell him to take his army to the round table to wait for instruction the guard bowed and then flew off into the wood! Then all the leaders looked at us and said we hope all goes well with you at your battle Orumus bowed and thanked each one for their support then I said may I ask a question King Orase you may he said the prophecy you gave about me I said how can this come true the witch is powerful and magical and I am only human who broke the spell without knowing it how can the prophecy be true if I don’t feel like I have the strength to fight even another man? The Centure sad in a voice that was amazingly comforting we know you are ready because you have a good heart and are full of love and those are the most powerful magical weapons in the world if you had been confident and proud and thought that you could defeat the witch then we would know you were not ready but since you are humble and not proud you will succeed over the witch who has no power over you since you have broken her spell and are full of love and humility so that she cannot come near you without cowering in front of you because of your love and brightness that will give you the strength and courage to go on the knowledge that you have someone to fight for and that you will defeat the witch she is helpless with you near! Yes agreed Alsilion you are an unbeatable force and nothing not even the witch can hold you back you have the most powerful magic in the world a heart of love and a noble heart you have proved this by rescuing the princess and telling her your feelings for her I stood there shaking my head as I said this is so much so fast I need time to think but I have so little time! That is right said Popiea but you have the courage to do the right thing no matter how hard it is so you make it through ! She is right said Orumus to me you do have the courage and you will make it through then he turned to lords and the lady and said we are grateful for your help but we must head for the round table to prepare for battle they nodded and said Godspeed to all of you and they tuned and went back into the forest while we turned north and headed to the round table were are army was gathering!
Chapter4
We headed back to the north to the round table were all the armies and elders were gathering it took us two weeks to get there by horseback but we arrived just in time. The entrance was a deep forested area we went into it and soon came to a clearing in center of the forest! There in the center was a round table with no seats and sitting around the table were the seven elders this is how they are described the elf was tale thin with long white hair to his middle done in a ponytail his eyes were gray and he looked so old and ascent I wondered just how old he was although it was hard to tell because his face was smooth without a wrinkle but his face showed age and wisdom in it he was dressed in long white robes tied with a silver belt the dwarf had a long white beard that reached to his feet he had no hair on top which he kept hidden by a red pointed cap his face was so wrinkled it showed every time he moved although he still had that wise accent face like the elf and did not act old at all he did not slouch or hunch like an old man but stood tall and straight again I could not tell his age because I could not bring myself to think how old these creatures were! The dwarf wore a white shirt with a black vest and brown pants and black boots with a black belt! The center was just as old as the rest of them he had dark skin his face also wrinkled his white hair reached to the end of his back like a main on a horse he still was strong and muscular for his age his horse body was white with black hooves and he wore armor with a sword around his waist he was the only one who carried a weapon though I doubted he ever used it he had piercing black eyes and shiny white teeth that stood out against his dark skin! Then there was the fairy who like the elf was not wrinkled at all on her white face but still had that look of years and wisdom she had long white hair to her feet sparking blue eyes and pink cheeks that stood out against her white skin her wings were of a sky blue almost white she wore a white dress with a gold belt and held a wand in her hands! Then there was the lion who was pure whit even his main was white he had the most captivating blue eyes and was larger than the lion king we meet at the forest he made the elf look like a dwarf and the dwarf look tiny then there was the griffin which was also white with a gray main who had golden eyes and was massive he was much taller than the loin and if the trees were nor so tall he would be able to stick his head and body right out of the forest his wings were touching trees 20 feet away and if not in this forest then he would be to viable anywhere to fly unnoticed the Merman was sitting in a pool of water especially put there for him he was also long white haired with a long face strong body and large gray eyes he had many wrinkles on his face and his mouth was covered by a white beard that reached to his tale of gray which was very long and large behind each one was the Captain who had been sent and behind the captain were the army of warriors which made up quite a number! They all looked up at us and the elf spoke first in his old but still musical voice said we are glad to see you have made it please come we are all goatherd and ready to begin so we walked over to table and stood in the three empty spots ! The elf spoke first now that we have all gathered let us begin this meeting! we all know why we have gathered to g ether her it is to fight of the evil witch and rescue the water princess and we have gathered a force of armies to help we will all fight to the death and we will triumph because victory is on our side we cannot lose we have god on our side and we have his blessing and I have foreseen victory the witch shall be slain at the hand of the young man her it is his destiny to kill her he is the one to do it and he shall triumph that being said let us march into battle and we shall be victorious with that cheers erupted from the whole camp with shouts of hurray! hurray ! I just stood there the elf had said the same thing the Centure had said I felt scared frightened nervous and emotional all at the same time I wondered if it could be true I knew I should not doubt these creatures they were so much wiser then I but it just sounded so out of this world and imposable ! So said the elf everyone get a good night’s rest ad we shall begin are march to the witches castle early in the morning soon everyone was asleep but I could not sleep so I got up and went to the stream that flowed by through the forest I sat down by the stream and said I can’t do this alone I need help please send me a sign to show me that you are with me to help me get through this I can’t do it alone I need your help! I sat like that for some time with my eyes closed then suddenly a light shone from the sky it came down sparkling from the heavens I looked up opened my eyes and saw three men floating down from the light they were all different one was old and with a long beard and soft gray eyes dressed in white robes the other looked like a weight lifter and was still young with blond hair up to his shoulders and dressed like a Roman solder the third was a middle aged man who looked like he had survived tough times his face was covered in scares from cuts his arms were also scared and he looked worn and weather beaten so did the close he wore which were a small tunic of brown and pants of the same color and he wore a small knife in his belt and had black shoulder lengthened hair they floated down and came and stood in front of me and said we have come to answer your prayers but you will have to believe in yourself first said the old man and have the strength to believe what no one else can see said the strong man and you must have the courage to endure all this said the scared man! I nodded and said I have a little of all that you say but I don’t know if it enough that is where faith comes in said the old man do you have even the tiniest bite of faith I do I said good said the old man even the smallest amount of faith can move Mountains you just have to take the first step said the strong man it all comes down to faith said the scared man and with that they vanished! I sat there for a moment to stunned to move wow I said at last that was something all right and know for some reason I don’t feel that scared any more it seems to have gone down a lot and I believe I can do it I just have to believe I smiled to myself and then went back to my resting spot Orumus was awake looking in my direction and the look on his face told me he knew all that had happened I smiled and he smiled back and we both laughed then Alchetlem woke up he had been sleeping in a small lake and asked what all the fuss was about I told him what had happened and he smiled and laughed as well! The sun was rising so we got up packed and prepared for the long march to the sea were the witches castle was !
Chapter5
We began are March up front with the seven elders the mermen were going by the sea so Alchetlem went with them the griffins were going by sky the dwarfs underground threw the mountain and the elves by the forest with the Centures and the Forest creatures we were the main attack force the dwarfs were to get into the city from underground while the mermen get in from the sea and trenches while we waited outside for them to open the gates then we would go n I would go with Orumus to find Areal and get her to a safe place then come back and help fight the witch or if she found out and chased us I was to kill her myself that was the plain as we marched farther and farther into the witches territory! She was a sea witch so she lived by the sea in a large black castle overlooking it the ocean was rocky with sharp pointed jagged rocks that stuck out of the water like knives the whole place was covered by a dark fog and mist so that it gave the place a evil sinister appearance we waited in the fog for the signal to charge we waited from up we heard the screeching and roaring of dragons and Griffins fighting against each other the noise was defining to the ears we waited then we heard the signal and charged the gates were opened and with a wild cry charged into the city in the city was fighting in every direction the witches creatures were orks gobblins breathing and throwing fire urgals with their bruit strength and a large number of troll guarding the dungeon door we both knew that was where the princess must be so we sized up the trolls each taking tree as there were six and slew them all without injury to ourselves Orumus had seen to that by placing a enchanted belts on are waists to protect us each elf had one enchanted object or just magic to protect themselves !We ran down the steps to the dungeon as we went down it got colder and more most until we came to a single door guarded by a giant troll we came close he tried to attack us we killed him together with a blow each to his heart! Then Orumus tried to open the looked door but it was looked with magic and only the witch could open it but Orumus was himself a skilled wizard and master at breaking enchantments so he did and the door swung open and there she was in human form but looked so skinny you could see the bones in her legs and she was glowing with a white light like she was going to change it was her time to but her body was too weak to change so she was fading away we ran to her and unchained her the moment we did she turned into a mermaid again and the bones from her ribs and tale were showing she looked half dead so we quickly took her out and ran out the gate to the ocean but when we got there we saw the water swirling and a huge wave came out of the water reveling a serpent as large as a dragon and much more fierce with fangs and horns and to flippers it is her said Orumus to me I stared in horror this was the sea witch I was terrified she looked at me and hissed it almost sounded like a laugh then she spoke in an amazingly smooth voice so you think you can just leave without passing me now you will die! And with that she charged at us mouth opened showing her fangs suddenly a burst of anger went threw me I handed Areal to Orumus and told him to run he did without hesitation mumbling something about don’t let her get it of you! I then charged at the serpent sword drawn and jumped to my amazement flew right into her face and the sword went right between her eyes I heard the crunch of bone and the softness of the brain as I stabbed my sword right threw her skull! She froze then started falling to her side I jumped with all my might and again found myself flying in the air to land I just missed her huge tale as she fell into the water and died when she died her form changed into an old woman in a black dress with silver hair and she floated away on the water and fell down a waterfall as soon as she was gone the enchantment on the castle was gone and instead of the black castle it turned pure white and beautiful with beautiful statues of mermaids Centures griffins dwarfs and elves and lions and fairies! The mist disappeared and cleared to revel a beautiful rainbow the ocean turned blue and the sharp jagged rocks disappeared and were replaced by smooth rocks and under the clear blue ocean was a palace of shell much more magnificent then the one I had been to by this time the battle was over and every evil creature had been slain as they died they dissolved and disappeared never to be seen again some dragons were still alive and once the witch died the spell was broken on them as well and they joined the rejoicing I looked at Orumus and Areal who had recovered and said were is this place ?This said Orumus is the palace of peace the white castle is for the new elf king and the palace is for the new Mer king the one who rules over all and gives the orders the witch sabotaged the place and killed the Mer king and elf king and took the place for herself putting it under the dark spell now it is broken and we can choose a new king for all the seven elder will choose and whomever the king marries that will be his queen! I see I see I said .Areal came over to me and we hugged and cried tears of happiness Alchetlem came over dirty from battle and joined our huge then we all turned to the sea and watched the sunset rise over the ocean!
Chapter6
A few days later when we were recovered from the battle news was sent that the new kings were to be chosen so we all went to the white Castle to see who it would be every good magical creature was there and at the front were the seven elders standing tall and proud the elf spook we have all gathered together in this time of peace to chose two kings to rule we have spent much deliberation over it and have decided to put Alchetlem the Mer prince as king of Mer castle and he has proposed and has been accepted his queen is Natalie princess of the elves the crowd cheered Alchetlem came forward with Natalie who was in a blue dress of silt and smiling he was dressed in his normal costume but it was all clean and new the crown was placed on his head and the crowd cheered! When they had quitted down the elf said and for the elf King we have chosen Orumus prince of the elves to rule and his wife and queen is Rena cousin to king Alchetlem the crowd cheered as Orumus dressed in purple robes with a golden belt and next to him walked a girl no older then Areal she had black hair up to her middle she had pale skin and red lips which were large as well blue eyes large like all mermaids pink cheeks and was dressed in a sky blue dress that sparkled in the sunlight and was smiling sweetly they were both crowed and the crowd cheered again! The two kings and two queens turned and raised their hands in victory the crowd cheered again in the back Areal and I smiled are best friends had been crowed kings and Areal would be queen next by birth and I would be her king we smiled at that thought and kissed !
So my story ends her but for Areal and me life had just begun we spent many happy days together living in peace and harmony with all and when we were seated on the thrown we made sure that everyone was treated equal and fairly and ruled in peace and happiness for ever after!
