My Adventures with Arther!

MY ADVENTURE WITH ARTHER!
Prologue.

I stared in fright at the creature it stared back at me curiously; all in all this seemed very familiar......

Chapter 1.

I felt nervous as I stood waiting to get my diploma I, Anne had just finished junior high school and was on my way to high school. After graduation there was to be a party at one of my friend’s homes so I went trying not to be too nervous.

I was never a very social person and never made many friends.
The few I did have sad to say where not going to the same high school as I, so I was scared of going to a place where I would be picked on with no friends to help
I had no idea what the new school was to be like but I hoped I would be able to make new friends, So I planed to just enjoy these last few days with my friends,

I was never in the popular crowd a little overweight short awkward and shy and not a very good public speaker had a sharp temper and very independent,

On my good side, I was a very clean person I hated mess I was happy most of the time quick to forgive small things laughed a lot and was fun to talk to and a good listener because I always ran out of things to say.

And I had brown eyes dark brown hair almost black that I could never keep in place and a little too large body so all in all I was a little out of place at school or any where.

But the party went well and I had a good time when it was over I went home with my friends we were sharing an apartment together we were all around the same age I was 17 and my friends were 16 and 15 so I was the oldest.

A little old to still be in Junior high but I was slow especially at arithmetic so I was still in junior high I didn't mind so much but leaving my friends did bother me.

We were so close but they could not afford it.

They were going someplace else both different schools so we were all separating we promised to write each other when we could to keep in touch and not forget each other.

We spent the last night talking and having a good time together until we all went to sleep.

Chapter 2.

The next morning I woke up to see it raining.
I was glum this morning it had already started bad.
First I was leaving my friends and I didn't know when I would see them again,
Also I had to catch the train and now it was raining things couldn't have gone worse.
I had packed yesterday so now all that was left was to wake my friends go to the station and catch the train say my last goodbyes and go into the unknown to the new school which I hoped would be friendlier then this one. So I went into the unknown saying goodbye to my two friends .

We cried a little, said goodbye and then the train started.
I waved out the Train window as it pulled out of the station!

Chapter 3.

The Train ride was long tiring and cold. As the train passed by the country I saw farmers with sheep and cattle soon I feel asleep and woke up with the trains whistle singing. I looked out the window and saw that I had arrived at the station so I got up still drowsy and got off the train and onto the platform as I looked around at my surroundings I realized why this school was so expensive the town looked very well made the people were dressed well and there were few poorly dressed people but that was only very rarely I suddenly regretted coming here I knew how the children at the school would treat me I had saved enough to come here but I had hoped that a better school would mean kinder and better behaved children and classmates my friends both agreed to this but as I saw the town I realized that the school could very well be a very snobbish one with proud and haughty children but it was too late to turn back now I had to go on and face my fears so taking a deep breath I stepped off the platform and onto the sidewalk .I had finally mustered up the courage to ask someone which way to go to get to the school He pointed It out to me and I started in that direction and saw what the man meant when he said you can’t miss it, it was standing above all the other building like a tower behind it there was a large yard, and on the front In a large sign read TOWNS HIGH SCHOOL! So taking a deep breath I went up to the door and opened it.

Chapter 4.

The inside of the School was absolutely amazing it looked like one of those old ancient medieval halls with doors on either side and at the end of the hall there was a door that said PRINCIPLES OFFICE and INFORMATION DESK! I slowly went over to the door timidly knocked and received a stern “enter!” I timidly opened the door and stepped inside, there at a desk sat a old man in his 60s he looked up and asked, “what do you want?” , I told him about my signing up for this high school and he said in the same stern voice, “yes Anne Seaward you have your name here.” He handed me a slip of paper and a folder. “this paper has your room number and this folder has your class schedule plus a map of the school.” “you may go to your dormitory” ,I thanked him and left looking at my paper it said B17. on it so I went to the second Floor and found my room the room had four beds in it and there were three girls sitting together they looked up gave a nod and went back to their chatter. I went to one bed put my bag on it and began to unpack one of the girls a blond beauty eyed me shiftily and suddenly said “don't break the bed”! I looked up shocked what did she say she rolled her eyes and said “don't break the bed you look like you could “and she burst into hysterical laughter the two others joined in I suddenly realized what was going on it had been like this at my old school I had been the pick for cruel jokes because of my size but as I looked I noticed that the two girls next to her were twice my size and much more scary I assumed that the blond must be the leader and the two blacks must be like her body guards so I assumed she must be the bully of the school but didn't look like much of a fighter herself tall and skinny with long straight blond hair she must be the popular one at school and that meant everyone except a few would try to be on her side so I knew this was only the beginning of my cruel life starting all over again silently sobbing I cried myself to sleep!

Chapter 5.

The Next morning I noticed that the room was empty I had slept in too late frantic I changed in a hurry got the folder and went off to my first class as I went into the door I noticed to my horror that the blond and her two friends were sitting up front and I was to sit next to them because that was the only open space so silently I went and sat down the teacher came in I stood up gave my name and sat down. The class began it was arithmetic the teacher called on me as always I gave the wrong answer I heard a snicker behind me saw the bond say “dumb as a pig “some people scowled some laughed I felt like crying but did not because of the many people in the room I sat down and tried to hold back my tears! As the day went these kind of cruel remarks were made off and on but I was used to it by now it just hurt to have my fears confirmed I would be all alone in this school the few like me were afraid of Maia As the blond girls name was so they always tried to stay on her good side so I was alone while I stayed At the school. As the days went by things became worse for me Maia seemed to like to crack crueler Jokes on me every day and as time went by things got worse until one day she pushed me to the limit and I was so angry that I said to her “If you say anything about me again I will happily break your pretty little nose” ,I guess I got her angry because the next joke she pulled on me was worse than all the others! It was two weeks after I arrived I was walking down the hall when I heard terrifying Scream I ran to that direction and to my horror saw one of the girls from my class lying bloody on the floor I went up to her to try to help then she reached up and grabbed my hands so that my hands were covered with her blood, I also saw a blood stained knife that had my name on it to my horror, I knew who had done it but how was I to prove It this girl would not say anything that was clear and there was no witnesses I heard footsteps and saw two teachers running in my direction and when they saw the girl they were horrified from the look on their faces this didn't happen very often and that just put me in more trouble. I tried to explain what had happened but they would not listen there was too much evidence to prove I had done It they asked me to come with them I tried to tell them that I had not done It but I had no witnesses to prove it so I was taken to the court my history did not help at all both my parents were gone and I had grown up an orphan in a rundown part of town so there was the evidence that I could have done it, so since they thought it was not my fault that I had grown up like I did they sent me to a school for troublesome children in a deserted part of the country with a large forest behind it and the school was a large ancient castle that had been turned into a school it had a large yard a lot of young children the caretakers were old men and woman and the children were all ages it felt like maybe I would be accepted with this many children and young people after all these were children just like me or so I thought ... Oh how wrong I was!

Chapter 6

The place was huge it would take you a life time to go around the whole castle I tried to talk and make friends but they all seemed to have enough people and gave no attention to me so I was left alone again like a speck of sand that was nothing to nobody although I was not as large as I used to be people still thought I was weird so I wondered aimlessly around the castle every day one day I went to the dungeon and saw a group of Africans staring at something I tried to see but all I saw was a glass box with something in it so I wormed my way through the crowed and in the box I saw a strange looking Lion at least that is what it looked like it was just the skeleton but it was a strange looking lion sort of deformed I stared at It for a moment then made up my mind that the skeleton might have rotted and gotten deformed so I thought! As I left the dungeon my mind wondered as I thought what was a skeleton of a lion doing in a place like this and why was it so important that a whole crowd of people would crowd around it as I went up the stairs I began to see the light and so I ran up and went to one off the caretakers asking directions to the school Principle for he was the only one who was kind to me but the caretaker laughed and walked away saying something about dumb I knew he was talking about me and I could bear it no more I sat down on the brick seat and began bitterly crying not caring who saw me I had to let the pain out before it killed me so I did not realizing that someone was coming toward me then I heard a voice unlike any I had ever heard before saying “are you alright ?”I looked up and saw a young boy about my age with light blue eyes light blond hair and very tall with a beautiful smile I blushed in embarrassment and shock that someone other than the principle and the caretakers would talk to me and that it was a boy as well! I was dumbstruck and could not answer, there was something in his eyes that showed concern,”do you mind if I sit with you“ he asked I could only nod mutely so he sat down and then he asked again if I was alright I nodded again still tongue tied, he smiled at me and seemed amused at my silence so I asked still sniffing if there was anything he wanted from me, He looked again with concern showing in his eyes and said he saw me crying and just came to see if there was anything he could do to help, this shocked me so much that I began to cry all over again this was the first time in my entire life that someone had asked if I had needed help and I was so touched and shocked that I could do nothing but cry. He just sat there with that concerned look on his face and continued to stare at me until I stopped and told him the reason why I was crying a look of understanding came into his face and he said in a voice that I can never forget “I know just how you feel “I looked up to him in surprise what do you mean I asked. He answered” I know what it is like not to be understood or to have many friends” I did not believe that ,he was so charming I did not see how he could not have many friends but I guessed he was just doing and saying what he did out of sympathy for me, So I got up and said to him thank you for your help but I must be going, He got up put out his hand and said “no problem I better be going myself. “ “My names Arthur by the way, what’s yours”? Anne I said flustered I really must go! And before he could say anything else I had fled! I sat panting in my room trying to make sense of what just happened ok so someone had asked if I needed help and to top it off it was a he and not a bad looking boy he seemed kind and understanding He told me his name asked for mine hardly anyone would do that so I was so shocked that I had to run before I lost it I sat on my bed trying to calm myself after a while I pushed the matter aside and tried to think of other things but there was always some of it still in my thoughts I finally just decided to sleep! When I woke up I heard shouting and screaming outside I ran to my window and saw that there was smoke everywhere and that there were people running around the grounds throwing fire and torches at the castle there was a riot going on outside I was so afraid I ran to the door opened it and ran down the Hall when suddenly I was meet with ablaze of flames blocking my way out I ran the other way but to no avail I was trapped with no way out the fumes began to choke me and the last word I remember screaming was help!

Chapter7.

I woke with a start not knowing where I was I looked around me and saw that I was in a large forest I looked around me in fright having no sense of where I was or what happened! Suddenly I heard a noise behind me and whirled around in fright what I saw made me scream there standing 4 feet away from me was a monster unlike anything I had ever seen before it looked like a lion but had wings like an Eagle and a beak like a hawk and talons it stared at me carefully not moving an inch I stared in fright at the creature it stared back at me curiously all in all this seemed very familiar..... When I had stopped screaming I took a moment to calm myself by studding the creature it had a light blond main and eyes of light blue that seemed so familiar that I thought hard to think of where I had seen them before! At first I could think of nothing but as my mind raced I thought of something so imposable that I let it pass through my mind it could not be I said to myself. I continued to stare at the creature trying to decide what it was I went through all the fairy tales I had heard and came to a conclusion this must be a griffin I said to myself in fright. It cannot be real I said to myself but then why are those eyes so familiar it was dark when I awoke so I saw the creature in the moonlight it was fascinating but I was afraid of what I saw so I stood there too frightened to move or sleep the creature stared at me sadly as I stared at it this went on for a few hours till the sun started to peep through the clouds then without warning the griffin spread its wings and took to the sky and disappeared into the trees. I stood in shock unable to scream or move suddenly I collapsed fell to the ground and passed out.

Chapter 8

When I woke up I found myself lying down with a blanket on me and a fire nearby next to the fire sat Arthur boiling something over the fire .I tried to get up but lay back down after a sharp pain went through my whole body “It would be better for you to stay calm” said Arthur “you hit your head pretty hard”! He smiled! “What happened I asked” there was a fire he said you were trapped I got to you through your window and took you to the woods away from the fire,” last night” I said changing the subject“I woke up and saw a strange creature in the woods it looked like a griffin but you were not around”! He frowned “you were unconscious until now so you must have dreamed it “he said seriously. “Perhaps “I said “but it just seemed so real”!”Sometimes dreams can seem real” he said. I smiled “so” I said what happened to the castle ? He turned sober again and said“it burned to the ground there is nothing left most people escaped but plenty died”! “Oh” I said “that’s terrible”. “Yes it is” he said. So we talked on and off during the day while we sat by the fire Arthur seemed to have a great sense of humor He made me forget my troubles and we both laughed a lot when evening rolled around Arthur said for me to stay put and that he would go look for a place to sleep. So he went off into the woods and soon I was all alone and becoming frightened .suddenly out off the forest the griffin showed itself to me again this time I knew I was not asleep I howled with fear but suddenly I felt sleepy and dazed and began to go towards the Griffin and in a daze began to follow it Into the forest it led me to a cave and went into it I followed and soon I was fast asleep! The next morning I awoke to find Arthur outside the cave by the fire as if nothing unusual had happened! I looked about but saw nothing to make me scream so I went out and sat next to Arthur he said good morning and continued stirring the fire! I stared at him for a moment then asked how did you find where I was I asked suspiciously He looked at me for a moment then said “I was with you the whole time”! No you were not I said you left me and did not come to the cave with me I was brought her by a griffin! He sighed and said no Anne I brought you here now I was confused what did he mean by that I was sure a Griffin had brought me here He looked at my confused face for a moment then said I will show you what I mean to night but you have to promise not to scream or shout no matter what happens! I was puzzled but I agreed! Arthur smiled and said OK great let’s eat now and forget about last night ok ? OK I said cheerily.

Chapter 9

That night Arthur took my hand and led me to a secluded area and said please don't run or scream I promise I said he took a deep breath let go of my hand and stepped into the moonlight then I gasped a transfiguration had began on Arthur He started to shake and shiver his nails and teeth started to grow he started to grow larger and taller fur started to grow on him and suddenly Arthur was no more but in his place was the Griffin that had led me to the cave and showed itself to me in my first night in the woods I stood in shock at what I saw It all made sense now the familiar eyes the disappearance during the night and Arthur in front of the cave in the morning it all made sense in a very weird way I had no idea of what I was supposed to say so all I did was say Arthur? He cocked his head and smiled the smile I knew had to be his I smiled back not afraid anymore I walked toward him slowly and touched his furry main it felt just like his hair and I smiled again he smiled back and I said I wish you could speak it would be so much easier to communicate he smiled quizzically put his large head down to eye level and touched my forehead I gasped in shock at what I saw he was showing me riding on his back and taking me towards a hollow tree He nodded toward me and mounted toward his back I got the meaning and climbed onto it he let out a roar so loud it hurt my ears he flapped his wings and took off In the air I shouted with delight and fear I had never flown before and the thrill of it was massive I was also afraid of falling so I griped tightly to his main and shut my eyes until we came to a stop in front of a tree that had been hollowed out I climbed in and curled up and went to bed dreaming about Arthur!
Chapter 10

The next morning I awoke with a million questions spinning in my head! I looked out the window and saw him sitting like he always did by the fire I climbed down the tree and said Good morning he nodded. Unsure what to do next I asked did you have a pleasant evening? Yes I did he said, how about you he asked “oh I slept fine I said thank you” “If you don't mind I do have some questions for you? “ I said. He nodded his head and said “ask away.”OK so first question how did you become a griffin I asked“I was put under a spell” he answered “by who” I asked “don't know myself but the only way that the spell can be broken is if the sorcerer dies or is killed”! Are you the only one I asked? “No He said the whole castle was put under the spell when it was burned most of them died or fled. The magic is not as strong now that the castle is burned down before we could not leave the grounds or the magic would kill us but now we can leave it without harm coming to us I am sure that whoever did the spell must be fuming that his spell has been broken” “what do you think he will do” I asked” don't know “he said “probably put a spell on another castle round up the rest of the Griffins and keep them there we are after all troublesome children “He smiled bitterly, I see I said how did you come hear what did you do to have to come here? I asked”. Nothing I was framed by someone”! He said angrily. So was I! I said equally surprised “really” he said “we aren't that much different then are we? “”No” I answered. “So do you have any idea of who is behind this” I asked ? I have an Idea He said, Really please tell me I said “this is just a guess I have heard about him from some of the other Griffins his name is Murric he is not human He is a shade and very powerful he has always been jealous of us humans so he has been killing them ruthlessly and changing all their children into monsters so I have a suspicion that it could be him! It could very well be I said yes I am almost certain that it is him and if we could go after him and kill him the spell would be broken and we could all be normal boys and girls again! So I said you are thinking of going after him I said excitedly! I am he said but I am only a boy no expert so I am going to need help what did you have in mind I said quietly, He answered back the only person I know who has killed a shade is Aramas the elf I must go to him and ask for help and I was hoping that you would come with me? Me! I said shocked I know nothing about fighting I don't even know what to do I never fought and get frightened quickly as you have seen so I don't really know if I would be much of a help to you I said shakily he smiled at me again and said don't worry you won’t be a burden to me and I would enjoy your company and I can teach you many things about defending yourself and I am sure Aramas would help you too if I ask him you must trust me .OK I said “truthfully I was excited about travailing with Arthur and this is just a secret but I was actually becoming quite found of him” !So with a light heart I began the adventure with Arthur which I would never forget!

Chapter 11.

The days went by and Arthur and I continued deep into the forest continuing this routine traveling during the night and resting and practicing swordplay and archery during the day this went on for a few months and every time Arthur beat me but we always had a good laugh in the end .Despite his appearance at night Arthur was nothing like the monster I saw him as at night He was the most good natured gentle boy I had ever met and as the days went by I started becoming more and more found of him. So as we went deeper and deeper into the forest and we got closer and closer to Arumus the Hermits hut I started to become more and more nervous after I had seen Arther I had no doubt that mythical creatures existed but It still frightened me about meeting an Elf I had never read much on the subject nor knew what he was going to be like but after seeing Arthur I was ready for almost anything as daylight came we landed and Arthur changed into his human form took my hand and started walking towards a tree He said something that I could not understand then suddenly the tree opened upas if the tree had been a door and behind it was the most amazing sight I had ever seen! Behind the tree was an enchanted forest everything was alive and magical with trees that moved at will in so many shapes and lengths that they could not have grown without magic even the birds and flowers seemed to be magic some I had never seen before in my life and in the center of all this there was a hut even it looked magical! From inside we heard a deep musical voice saying please come in Arthur and Anne I have been expecting you Arthur took my hand and said shall we go I nodded mutely we stepped inside the forest and as soon as we did the tree closed by itself with a gentle thud. We both took a deep breath and walked toward the hut stood by the door unsure of what to do then before we could do anything the door opened and there in the doorway stood an old man who only looked old with hair long and silver and eyes deep and sad and a light blue and pointed ears looked at Arthur then gasped in shock and stood there like a statue! After a few minutes of standing still and me wondering what happened to him he gasped the word Prince Arthur!

Chapter 12,

Now it was my turn to be shocked what did the Elf just call him prince? I looked at Arthur’s expression and saw no shock in it but a pleasure as if someone had just remembered you and you had thought they had forgotten you! Could it be true could Arthur really be a prince but then why hadn't he told me about this shouldn't I ought to have known instead of him springing it on me like that why couldn't he have told me if it was about secrecy I could have kept the secret! I looked up at Arthur with Anger and shock on my face he looked down at me and when he saw my face he frowned and said I was going to tell you but so many other thoughts filled my head during our trip that I just forgot about it I am sorry for it to be reviled to you in this way but I guess now that it is out I should tell you everything he looked at the elf and smiling said if you don't mind I would like to tell her the story” as if he could read his mind”!Certainly said the elf I am sure you can tell it better than I can. So Arthur began his story He said I will have to start before my birth my mother Amelia was queen of the elf's her first husband died fighting a war and she was sad and alone for some time then one day she was riding on her horse when she heard a commotion not far away she with her guards went to see what was going on and saw a wounded man on the road apparently the guards of the man and the thieves who had robbed him had disappeared. So my mother the sweet soul she is took the man home with her nursed him back to health and when he was well enough found out that she had rescued prince Ralph of the humans my mother was excited not only had she during her nursing fallen in love with the man but he was also royalty like herself Ralph was also in love with my mother so as soon as he was well enough he asked for her hand in marriage she accepted and in so doing a peace was formed between the elf's and men. So for a time things were going well in the kingdom until the day that I was born I was half elf half human and since Ralph was the only hair there was a strife between the men and the elf's who king he would be but of course my parents had the last say so they proposed that I could be a king for both elf's and men so it was settled and I grew to be five without much incident with Arumus as my trainer the elf smiled then on my sixth birthday I was kidnapped by the shade taken to the castle put under the spell and from that time on I was a Griffin! So I interrupted him the story you told about being framed was lie! it was he said I am sorry but I didn't know if I could trust you with such a big secret yet!”But you can now “I said yes I can he said happily So anyway he continued the shade made it look like the humans had kidnapped me of course my father and mother did not believe it but from that time on the humans and elf's have not always been on the friendliest of terms they distrust them just as much as the dwarfs. So I said do you know have to go to them both and tell them what really happened and tell them to make peace I have to said Arthur I need them both to help me win the war agent the shade and his forces!

Chapter 13

Until this time the elf Arumus had remained silent finally he spoke up in a musical voice he said the problem at hand is more serious then I imagined Arthur you cannot defeat a shade with just Elf's and humans the shade has an army with all evil magical creatures not one is human humans have no magical power where as the army the shade has consists of orks goblins ogres and trolls but you have humans and elves you will need more than that to defeat the shades army why not make a truce with the Dwarf king orick and the Griffin king Leo I know they are both disgusted at what the shade has done to the children and the dwarfs have earned the distrust from the elves because of it so they would be more than willing to help you! Arthur seemed to be deep in thought yes he said finally that might work I shall have to go to my parents first and then to my grandfather in the human land make peace with them again then I will hold a meeting and invite the dwarf king and the Griffin King to the meeting and make a truce with them to help fight and kill the shade! Up to now no comment had been made about me so I was surprised when Arthur said to Arumus I have a favor to ask you old friend Arumus smiled and said certainly Arthur I would be glad to teach her how to fight and protect herself .I knew he was talking about me so I did not say anything but just smiled and blushed! But said Arumus we must first get you to Analasa to see your parents and then to the planes to see your grandfather but on the way there I promise to teach her everything I taught you “thank you old friend”said Arthur “my pleasure your highness “ said Arumus . I sort of snickered grinned and said do I have to call you Prince Arthur now? He grinned back and said no just Arthur like always. Oh good I said in relief and we both laughed. Arumus had just saddled three horses walked up to us and said shall we go? Yes said Arthur let’s go!
Chapter 14.

So we continued our journey with Arumus with us even though we had horses I still loved to ride with Arthur at night it was not just the thrill of it but the fact that I never liked to be away from him for more than a few minutes I felt safe with him and he seemed to like it as well so are routine continued but now Arumus helped me with my lessons and even though I was slow I got better and better at day by day until I could shoot straight my aim was still not that good but they did not discourage me but encouraged me to do better and soon I improved and got better until I finally shot down my first deer I was still not very good with the sword but Arthur said as long as you can use one weapon well you should be fine they also tried to teach me how to block evil spells that the shade might throw at me because that was the best way to protect myself I soon became quite good at it and even Arumus seemed impressed I was glad because he never seemed to be impressed with my work but I was not surprised with Arthur anymore he was always impressed with me! As time went by I became more quick had better reflexes and was doing well with the bow and arrow that even I was surprised who would have thought that a girl like me would soon be able to do all of this I was so happy and free and had never felt more wonderful in my life the only real problem I had now was my feelings for Arthur I knew that I was in love with him but I did not really know his feelings for me I knew He liked me but I was not sure if he liked me in that way every time I tried to sleep it bothered me what does he think of me? I thought as I drifted off to sleep.

Chapter 15

The weeks went by we had been traveling for almost half a month and would be at Analsa at the end of the month my training continued and the month passed quickly then one day we stopped by a Brooke to water the horses then suddenly without warning an arrow shot passed just missing Arthur we all swirled around and what I saw made me choke the was a hoard of ork coming are way I was so frighten I could not scream they looked hideous like half boar half man but much more terrifying I could do nothing but stare in fright Arumus said something to Arthur which I could not hear then without warning Arthur grabbed my hand and started running into the opposite direction an arrow just missing us now when I say run I mean really run he was faster then and runner I had seen before and he did not seem to tire so we ran till we were far away from the orks! He sat me down and let me catch my breath and calm myself when I did He asked are you all right all I could do was nod mutely I could not speak out of fright then I heard faintly a massive boom like an explosion coming from where Arumus was I looked at Arthur with large frightened eyes He smiled faintly and said he is fine just taking care of the orks I finally mustered up the courage to ask were they after you ,the smile faded and he said seriously the Shade must have sent them to kill me now that I am on the loose knowing who I am he knows where I am headed so he wants to kill me first before I get to Analsa ! That frightened me I was afraid that something would go wrong and he would get hurt but he smiled and said don't worry unless the shade comes himself Arumus and I are much too powerful to be killed and I won’t let anything happen to you! Arumus soon arrived dusting his hands and panting saying there all dead I looked up at him in surprise you killed them all I said in surprise yes he said calmly A little magic can work wonders he said smiling I remembered the boom I had heard and winced thinking about what the orks looked like now I decided not to think on it. It was getting dark now so Arthur got ready to make his change Arumus and I stepped away giving him room to change when it was finished I slowly walked up to him like I always did got onto his back Arumus nodded got onto his horse and started into the forest the two there horses followed behind! We continued on a little more careful now Arthur seemed to get a little too over protective sometimes and it would annoy me I should have realized it by now but I was to blind to see the truth in his protectiveness toward me Only Arumus noticed tried to help me see but I was stubborn and would not believe what I knew was one of my wildest dreams that I believed could never come true because he was a prince! But the thought still haunted me at night what does he really think of me?

Chapter16

Soon we arrived at the gate way to Analsa if you just glanced at it you would see no more than a line of trees in the forest but as we got closer Arumus said some world too fast for me to hear and before my eyes the trees parted and a voice from nowhere said please enter as we walked into the parted trees I felt light hearted and happy and heart sweat music all around me then out of nowhere there appeared a young elf with a spear with long flowing robes and long blond hair He looked at Arumus and said to him what brings you here Arumus you have not come here since the young master was kidna... he never finished his speech for when he saw Arthur he gasped and shouted can it be true is that you master Arthur? Arthur smiled his beautiful smile and said it is indeed me Lancolt I am so glad to see you! Well Lancolt smiled and said it is wonderful I must tell your mother and father they will be overjoyed to hear of it Arumus smiled and said thank you Lancolt but I should like to tell them myself so as to not surprise them to much there is also the matter of the girl whom we brought with us and you do not know that much about her so I will speak to them! Very well said Lancolt you may go I will wait here with Arthur and the girl. Her name is Anne said Arthur! Beg your pardon Anne then said Lancolt .After a moment of silence Lancolt said I know that you will probably tell your story to everyone but I am most interested to know what happened so while we wait could you tell it to me? Arthur smiled and said sure so he began his story starting with the kidnapping and was just starting on going to see Arumus when we heard voices behind us we turned around and there coming toward us was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen she was tall shapely long black hair to heir heals strong face rosy cheeks and lips sweet smile just like Arthur’s sky blue eyes and had a gold band on her head engraved with precious stones and was wearing a maroon dress with a purple cape tied with a large ruby. Next to her walked a man just as handsome as her strong masculine features slightly tanned light blond hair up to his shoulders black eyes and a strong smile he was wearing a thick gold halo ring engraved with diamonds wearing long purple robes and a red cape tied with a diamond pin and around his waist was a long jewel studded sword none of them looked older than 30 I guessed that this must be Princess Amelia and Prince Ralph and they all walked gracefully toward them though it seemed that the lady seemed to be crying and running and the man looked like he would do the same behind then I could see a large crowd of Elves all tall and graceful staring and talking excitedly I looked at Arthur and saw that tears were coming down on his cheeks and he was smiling his beautiful smile. When they came close enough the queen reached out and took Arthur by the waist and hugged him tearfully saying in a musical voice Oh Son I thought I had lost you forever and the king said in a strong voice we thought the shade killed you and had lost all hope of ever seeing you again the queen continued when I first heard from Arumas that you had come back I did not believe it but I decided to go see for myself because I knew Arumus never lies so I came and I am glad I did! Then she looked at me and said Arumus has told me about you too young lady and you are most welcome here Thank you your highness I said bashfully! The queen smiled turned around to face the crowd and said let us rejoice now my son has come home safe and sound the crowd cheered and she continued and he has brought a friend with him her name is Anne I hope you make her welcome while she is her more cheers erupted and soon people were securing about getting ready for celebration in the meantime the queen turned to Arthur and said come we must take you to get washed up and ready for tomorrow we know what will happen so we are having the feast in the morning for now let’s get you washed up and changed. She turned to lancolt please show my son and his friend were they can wash and change and rest she said then turned to Arthur and said we will come and see you late she said and turned to leave come follow me said Lancolt.

Chapter 17

After I had washed and had been given a clean pare of cloths it was still light so I went off to see if Arthur was done cleaning up as I went I took time to study my surroundings the whole city was grown by the trees So well blended in it would appear as a normal forest by just passing by but as you look closer you will see houses and one tree a large wide oak served as the queen’s headquarters and all around it were trees of enormous height that served as housing for the others and in the middle of all this ran a lake stretching through the whole forest it was the most amazing thing I had ever seen! I saw him standing by the lake admiring the scenery but I just stared at him He looked so handsome in his new cloths a cotton tunic that reached to his knees bound with a gold band lose pants black boots up to his knees and around his waist a small jewel studded sword during are travel his hair had grown longer now it same all the way to his back which made him even more handsome I made some noise to let him know I was approaching and went over to him he looked down and smiled saying you look very beautiful I blushed I had not taken the time to see how I looked I was dressed in a light cream dress almost white my wild hair done in a neat braid and that was about it I had never thought of myself beautiful so someone saying it to me and to make it worse Arthur said it ! It just made me blush and all I could do was say so do you! He grinned and we stood together in silence for a few minutes then it started to get dark So he went behind a large tree undressed and made his transformation when It was over he came over to me lay down and motioned me to come over so we slept together me Huddling against his warm body and him over me protectively. The next morning I woke up to see Arthur up and dressed sitting on a rock next to me he always seemed to wake up faster than I did and I never had seen him change back into an elf. I wondered if he even slept good morning I said He smiled and answers back a cheery good morning then he said today at the feast I will tell my story to the whole Elf clan he said then in a few days we will go toward the planes and talk with my Grandfather and make peace with him then after that we will have a meeting with the Dwarfs and Griffins to form a truce then we will see what we will see he said quietly I understand I said “good “he smiled jumped up and said come let’s not keep the party waiting. He took my hand and ran towards a large clearing in the woods were there was dancing and singing going on so when we came the queen silenced everyone with her hand and said before we begin are feast my son would like to tell the story of his disappearance how it happened and how wrong we were about the humans kidnapping him and that the humans had absolutely nothing to do with it so please begin Arthur stood up and began his story again! When Arther finished his story there was a silence in the crowd then finally the queen spoke youall see how wrong we had been about the humans she said soberly the deserve an apology and so two days from now Arthur Arumus and Anne along with four guards will make their way to the plains and speak with Arthur’s grandfather King Philip and make peace with them. In the meantime lets enjoy the time together and feast with those words everyone sat down and prepared to eat It was a marvelous meal and everyone ate to their hearts content after the meal there was dancing and singing and everyone joined in the fun and dancing even the king and queen we all danced until night fell and then we stop t and settled down for the night that night I slept out under the starry sky with Arthur over me protectively t he next two days went by with Arthur and me spending time together with his family and the others as well finally the day came to make the journey over the planes to see Arthur’s grandfather !Beside Arums four more traveled with us Guard’s there was Lancolt Legolass Foramer and Boramer it would take us a week to get to the castle if we had no delays so we began are journey towards the planes.

Chapter 19.

The first few days went by uneventfully we traveled during the day and rested during the night which was the safest at the moment with orks searching for Arthur It was safer not to move during the night because they are most active then soon we got closer and closer to the castle of the planes we had no events because even orks would not try to attack five elves and a Griffin so we got to the castle with no major events. Soon we arrived at the castle we had told the king in advance of Arthur and he said for him to come immediately to him so we were all ushered inside of a large throne room with an ivory throne engraved with jewels and on the thrown surrounded by advisors and ladies of the court sat an old man with a large ruby and diamond studied crown dressed in royal robes he looked so old and ancient I wondered just how old he really was he called Arthur forward in a old raspy voice and said tell me what happened to you son he said So Arthur told the story again and when it was finished asked the king to make peace with the elves once more and help to fight against the shade and his armies and the king said you have my full support Arthur don't worry peace will be made and we will help fight that I promise you so with that settled Arthur asked the king to come to Analasa to sign the truce between the elves men dwarfs and Griffins so that they would all fight together with unity the king agreed so Arthur could do no more with that in place he thanked his grandfather told him about me and his other duty to do and left the castle his next task was to go to speak with the dwarf King Orick which was not as essay as it seemed because the dwarfs hated the elves and put them on the enemy list but Arthur figured that if they were both fighting for the same purpose then a truce could be made so they went toward the south to the dwarf caves in the mountains which was dangerous and treacherous terrain with steep paths and falling rocks Arthur would not let go of me the whole time we were climbing and at night he kept me on his back the whole time I wondered why this was why did he have to be so worried about me I was a good a climber as he was but I didn't have much time to ponder on it for soon we reached the dwarf mountains of the south and was met with fierce looking dwarfs holding spears as longer then themselves, Arthur stepped forward apparently unafraid and said in a calm voice greetings I am Arthur Prince of Analsa I have come to seek an audience with your king Orick what about? the first guard gruffly asked .I have come here to make a truce with him said Arthur still calm .Hum said the guard wait right her and he soon disappeared down a tunnel a couple of hours later he returned and said alright come the King say he will see you Arthur started to follow the guard into the tunnel and we all followed into a long tunneled hall the sides were smooth like polished black marble the floor was done in the same way all along the walls there were torches and the hall looked like it would never end! Finally we came to a polished white slab of stone the dwarf went up to it and said in a low voice a word that I could not understand and suddenly the door opened He walked inside and we all followed entering a polished stone room with elaborate designs and shapes and at the end of the room there was a stone throne with a dwarf sitting on it he had a long gray beard that reached down to his black boots he was wearing a white shirt black leather vest lose pants and a jewel studded belt and had a gold crown on his head this was the description of King Orick and as Arthur walked toward him he eyed him carefully and said in a deep voice what is it you wish to have a truce about he asked Arthur told him about his problem and then told him his story and then he asked if Orick would be willing to help fight ageist the shade and its forces there was a moment of silence as the king thought what Arthur said carefully over then he said I will agree with you on one condition said the King and what is that said Arthur that you would promise that the truce stays to it word and we will be at peace from now on said the king, Arthur thought it over and said you have my word that it will be done then he asked the dwarf to come to Analasa to sign the truce to which he agreed .then he took out a paper gave it to Orick and asked him to sign it Orick did and then invited us to eat and spend the night in the cave we accepted a place was made large enough for Arthur to change the night went by fast and before long we were on our way to the cliffs to speak with the Griffin King Leo!

Chapter 20.

The journey towards the Eastern Cliff was a hard dry one we had to pass through a huge desert and the heat from the sun was horrible and the nights were freezing but I had Arthur and he kept me warm but I had to bear the heat during the day it took three months to pass the desert by the second month we were beginning to grow low on water and food there was hardly anything around to hunt and absolutely no water so we had to be sparing but that did not help as we were losing strength soon the elves tried getting water with magic but that only gave a bit more then we had already so we were becoming desperate we had already lost two horses and we had to get out of the desert soon because This place is where the orks and goblins make their camps and join forces so we were in danger every moment I was the worst human as I was sometimes passing out or going delirious the little food and water we had was given to me Arthur regretted bringing me and was becoming more and more worried until He asked one off the elves to heal me he had magic in him himself but because he was half human It was not as strong. So we went on and at the end of the third month we got by a heard of orks undetected by then we could see the Eastern Cliff of the Griffins!

Chapter 21.

As dark settled over the landscape Arthur began to make his change while we all decided the best way to approach the Griffins since we could not climb up the cliff and only Arthur could reach the cliffs at night so we came up with a plan Arthur would go with Arumus to the mouth of the cave seek an audience with the king from the guards there and if accepted he would go in just with Arumus and speak with him.

So the plain was made the change was made and we were ready to go Arumus went on my back and we flew to the mouth of the cave and sure enough there were three guards all black manned and dark bodies and much larger than me so I took a deep breath, the Guards asked why I had come so far I told them about my problem and they told me to wait hear a moment then they went down deep into the mouth of the cave until all I could see were dots I waited nervously wondering how this meeting was to turn out and also nervous about meeting the Great Griffin King I had heard of him before he had fought with my mother’s late husband and had helped win the battle against the evil sorcerer Bailike so I had little doubt that he would help me but I must not get too overconfident because there was a chance that he would say no and that would be terrible because there was No one else to ask? Who might be willing to help the dragons did not care to take sides and I could think of no other magical creature who might be willing to help so I was impatient for the outcome finally the Guards came back and said that the king would see me so with all the confidence I could muster I stepped into the cave with Arumus at my side! The cave in itself was just an ordinary cave only made larger on the inside by the griffins so we walked down a long tunnel until we came to a dead end we all stopped the lead Griffin stared at the wall intensely for a few moments then magically the stone opened like sliding Doors and we walked inside the inside of the room was huge even the tallest giant could not reach the top or lye sideways or straight without leaving room to stand but the most amazing thing sat at the very end of the room there sitting on the flour was a Griffin the size of which I had never seen before he was half the size of the tallest giant his wing tips folded sideways because of the size of them the ends of them touched the side of the wall huge talons massive muscular body and the color of gold all together a kingly figure I stepped toward him Arumus at my side I looked up at him he looked down on me and said my guards have told me there was something you wanted to ask me Prince Arthur well I am listening speak up he said in a deep rumbling voice so I began my tail leaving nothing out when I had finished stopped for a moment and then asked the king if he would be willing to make a truce to help us fight against Murric The king sat in silence for a moment then said that he would help us fight and that it would be an honor to help fight with me so with that settled I was about to ask him one more thing when suddenly I heard a terrifying scream come from outside the cave then two guards came in shouting orks! Before anyone could stop me I hurled around and ran out the door forgetting everything else except I have got to get to her before they do and I should have never left her by herself I got to the mouth of the cave faster than the rest jumped out and dove to the ground seeing the orks too feet away and Anne frozen to the floor I had to get to her before they hurt her so I went faster grabbed her with my claws and flew up to the cave set her down told her to stay put and flew back down to help with the fighting It was hard but with the griffins help we won and were victorious when it was over it was daylight and I had returned to my human form so I went over to Anne asked her how she was she didn’t speak only nodded mutely and started to cry I didn't know what to do so I just put my arm around her to comfort her after a while she spoke in a cracked voice are you alright? I smiled and nodded happy that it was over then she berried her face in my chest and started crying all over again I let her cry until she stopped and said I was so afraid that you would be hurt I am glad that you are not she smiled I smiled back both relieved that It was over then Leo the Griffin King came and sat beside us his Massive body leaving us both in a large shadow and said before this started was there something else you wanted to say? I answered back yes I would like to ask you to come to Analsa to sign a treaty between the men elves and dwarfs so that we will all be united and fight together he answered and said I will come. Wonderful I said then we shall not take up any more of your time come Arumus let us return to Analsa and prepare for battle!

Chapter 22.

( In the shades castle!)
The sky was dark and black dark clouds were overhanging the black stone castle were the shade Murric was keeping headquarters in the castle was the most hideous sight you ever saw dead bodies of young children Griffins as well proof that Murric was catching all the stray Griffin children from the castle but the way he had done it proved that none of the children were the ones he wanted because he didn't have Arthur which he wanted the most to kill because with Arthur on the lose his power was fading and he knew Arthur was gathering an Army by the reports of his spy s all of whom had been killed by Murric who was as frightening as people made him to be long stringy black hair long black nails black poisonous eye with white skin almost see though face like a skeleton and hideous pointed yellow teeth! But now he had decided to stop killing and sending spies because he needed as many men as he could to help fight Arthur’s Army! But he wanted Arthur the most but he knew how smart Arthur was so he devised a plan to find his weak spot and use it against him he thought long and hard then he sneered the most frightening sneer any one had seen in their life that he hissed that is what I will do he won’t be able to do anything and I will have him at last he screeched the most terrifying laugh and called his captain to him and told him what his plains were and what to do!

Chapter 23.

The journey back home went by with no indecent there seemed to be no orks on the loose and no more attacks on us it seemed as if Murric had pulled back his troops and was waiting for us to make the first move! We got home to Analsa quicker then when we left and as we told of are adventures we herd trumpets it seemed as if the three kings had arrived already so with hast we went to the gates of Analasa to greet them! There they stood outside the gates we let them entire and with Anne by my side I had never let her out of my sight we started toward a large clearing where there was a paper and wax next to it the truce to be signed! I went over to the table and said so everyone could her let this day be remembered for eternity as the day we made peace with one another to help win the war against Murric the shade and his forces on this paper is a truce to be signed between us all so that we will fight together and come to each others aid whenever there may be a need we will each sign it with our own signet ring to prove are loyalty to each other! We each signed the treaty starting from the elves to the Griffins I was proud of what I had accomplished I had united and made allies of previous enemies but Now there was more things on my mind firstly the war but also somewhere deeper in my mind was this though of Anne I knew how I felt about her I had felt like this the first day I meet her but I wondered what she thought of me I knew she liked me as a friend but just a friend? The question went through my mind every night what did she think of me could she love me in the same way that I loved her that was the question that kept me up every night I knew I should just ask but the time never seemed right . So it kept me up like a nightmare that would not go away so I pushed to the far end of my mind and concentrated on the matter at hand the war with Murric where was it to take place and when was it to take place those were the two questions that we were to discuss at the moment so I tried to think of nothing else not even of the girl who sat beside me I could never leave her alone for fear that something would happen to her I had never felt this way about anyone and I did not want to lose her so I was constantly on the Guard for any sign of danger! But now there was more important things to discuses so I concentrated hard finally someone said so when shall the battle be in a week’s time I said Murric and his army are marching towards the planes we shall make are fortress there and prepare for battle so we do not have much time we will begin the journey to the plains tomorrow set up barriers and be ready for Murric and his men! Well planed said Leo my solders shall wait until dark then you can join us in the Battle Arthur yes I that is a good plan I said very well said my father I will lead the elves from behind the castle and ambush then yes said Orick then I will lead my men through the tunnels and come up from underground! The men will stay in the tower and shot from there said King Philip good I said I think we are all prepared let’s get a good night sleep and get a early start in the morning!
Chapter 24,

That night before Anne went to bed I said to her Anne would you do something for me I asked She looked up startled but nodded I continued while I am fighting please try to stay somewhere where no one can find you because I don't want anything to happen to you ! She smiled and said that is something I can do I don't want you to be worried about me all the time! I sighed in relief and we said goodnight and settled down for the night. The next morning we made our way to the planes castle we got there at sunrise slept a night then the next day started building a Barrie around the castle when that was finished we watched and waited for Murric and his army to show up! As night approached I had just finished changing into my night form when I heard someone from the tower shout Murric approaches! We all looked to the planes and sure enough we saw massive rings of fire from torchlight and behind it all Murric riding on an enchanted Griffin! we prepared for battle each taking are place I let out a charge and the battle began Murric the battle continued on with Murric in the back ground casting evil spell and throwing fire at the solders it seemed like we would lose then suddenly Murric charged at me trying to use magic to control my thoughts but I was taught well and Murric screeched in frustration I was distracted a moment then suddenly heard a scream which I shall never forget the sound made me turn my head and without warning something hit me in the head and I blacked out....
Chapter 25
(Through Anne's eyes )

I hide in the dungeon trying hard not to make a sound I was so frightened and alone I curled up into a tight ball and shivered then I heard footsteps coming down heavy loud footsteps I shiver In fear someone was coming and It defiantly did not sound like Arthur , the footsteps grew louder I grew more frightened suddenly the door fell to the ground and I saw an ork standing there with wicked smile on his face my eyes widened in fear I let out a terrifying scream as the ork came closer to me grabbed my shoulders roughly and dragged me out of the dungeon I was screaming and protesting all the way until I froze in fear what I saw frightened me so much that I passed out right then and there!
Chapter 26.
(Through Arthur’s eyes)

My head ached as I woke up to find myself on the grass besides Arumas it was daylight and everything seemed quit what happened I asked Arumus said sadly the army has pulled back we did not know the reason at first but we managed to capture one ork and using a truth potion it seemed like Murrics plan has been going well he is to capture Anne keep her in his dungeon in hope that you will come and rescue her and that way he will have you all alone and then kill you! I remembered the terrifying scream and a hard lump came into my throat all I could say was Anne captured! Arumus nodded suddenly a fierce anger surged through my whole body I stood up and walked towards the plans not looking back or listening to Arumus as he called my name finally I stood alone near a stone staring at the ground and thinking hard how was going to rescue her was all that went through my mind until Arumus came up and said you know you can’t go now it is daylight it would be much better if you waited until dark when you are most powerful. I saw reason in his logic so I nodded and sighed a deep long sigh and waited impatiently for darkness to approach! As the day went by we spent the day clearing dead bodies and Treating the wounded my father prince Ralph was badly injured but had healed quickly and tried to encourage me that it would all work out fine in the end I listened but could only think of what I would do to the shade if he had hurt her in any psychical way! I had asked Leo the Griffin King for his help and he agreed to come with me to the dark kingdom so we set off toward the North as we went on It became colder and darker and very gloomy and gray when we finally got to the black castle we made preparations and plans then I looked through the castle with magic and saw her lying chained in the deepest part of the dungeon she seemed to be unconscious I looked her over carefully she had a few bruises but besides that she did not seem in any bad state psychically but I knew that emotionally she was probably frightened to death! I remembered that terrified scream and that just made me angrier I nodded to Leo went around to the back where an ork guard was patrolling I killed him before he knew what hit him and broke down the wall with one swift blow of my head and I was glad I had gotten it right for right there was the door to the dungeon and I could see her on the other side I broke down the door went to her was just about to leave with her when I smelt the most foul stench I had ever smelt in my life turned around and there stood Murric with a monstrous troll standing next to him on a chain I guarded Anne protectively carefully making sure that the troll smelled me and not her Murric laughed an evil laugh and said in a hissing voice my plain worked now all I have to do is kill you and then the girl I moved back guarding her protectively very bold he said but that won’t stop me from killing you! I frantically signaled to Leo who answered by smashing the roof burying the troll in a pile of bricks Murric screeched in frustration and drawing a thin white hand moved toward me screaming a spell I had no time to waist it was now or never I charged at Murric with everything I had in me charged with an open mouth at his heart and ripped it out Murric seemed stunned for a moment then exploded into a pile of dust into the air then I fell back and passed out!
Chapter 27 .
Happy Ending!

When I woke up I knew something was different about me I could feel it I looked down and saw that I was human again and that It was dark so I knew that Murric was dead and the spell was broken! I looked about me and saw that I was lying on a bed and my father was over me .I suddenly remembered Anne and sat up my father pushed me back and told me not to worry that she was fine and in the castle resting so I relaxed and asked what had happened? He told me that Leo had found me in the dungeon human and so he brought Anne and me back to the castle and he said that he saw griffins all over the place turning back into children so we thought the spell must be broken and Murric dead! Yes I said he is dead the spell is broken and everyone is safe and happy! A few days later after things had gone back to normal and we were back in Analsa I was sitting by the lake with Anne trying to muster up the courage to ask her a question when she said is there a reason for bringing me hear that was my chance I gulped and said well there is something I would like to ask you I said hurriedly she looked up and asked yes? I didn't know how to tart so I said Anne I wanted to ask you if you would marry me there it was out! I looked to see her reaction it was one of shock then she asked why? This puzzled me what do you mean? I asked why me she said now I understood she didn't think she was right for me so I began I said I have been in love with you from the first time we met I was just afraid to ask you about how you felt about me fearing rejection and I didn't want to ask you because of all the fighting there was never time but I always wondered how you felt about me it kept me up every night and was in my mind all the time like a dream that would not go away! So I am asking now what is your answer.? She sat in silence for a moment then smiled and said I too have been I love with you from the time we started traveling together I dream about you every night the thought burning in my head what does he think of me what are his feelings toward me I loved you but I was afraid to ask you there never seemed a right time but now that I know that you do love me I would want nothing more than to marry you! I smiled in delight this was more then I had dreamed she loved me just as much as I loved her so I got on my knees took her hand and said Anne will you marry me? She smiled and said I will I stood up to happy for words I took her around the waist and kissed her softly on the lips. So they were married and ruled the kingdom with peace and friendship between the elves dwarfs and Griffins and they lived and ruled for ages and they lived happily ever after!
